I like Melody. And Melody loves what she does. Genuinely loves it. It's not like the average coomer model vtuber who does it for views without really being into it. My understanding from the last time she talked about the upcoming surgery was that it wasn't happening until early 2024? And she'd be in America for it, which seemed weird to me, because Japanese health insurance is fairly comprehensive and competitive.

I suspect for now she's just flipped the emergency burnout protection switch. After all she just marathoned multiple 10-12 hour days with the MGS games, studio work, and other things for example joining Kobo's birthday live.
