You have to see what their ‘evidence’ is in order to debunk it. You’d never know that they were actually talking about nightfawn(?) if you didn’t see their ‘proof’, so of course you have to request what they have, and I think that showing interest will make them more likely to show their ‘evidence’ rather than cussing them out.
It’s just shocking to me that so many of you think it’s weird to ask people to show proof for a claim.

Friday the 13th is getting shut down soon apparently, so EN is doing one last game. It's been one of their go-to party horror games so it's sad to see it go.
