Hololive ARK Server (2024) - Day 1
Ark returns to hololive at large for the first time since 2022. This time, it's all about working together.
Pekora's news recapping the day:
Rules, mostly taken from this clip:
- The map used is Valguero.
- Mods used:
- The event lasts from July 23rd to July 31st.
- There will be downtime from 3AM to 7PM JST due to difficulties in providing technical support during that time.
- Everyone will be living in a single base.
- The base will have to be made from scratch, as the starting hub isn't the base.
- You can tame up to three creatures at a time.
- Only the person who tamed the creature can use it. They will be stored in cryopods if the owner goes offline.
- Trap taming is forbidden.
- If a tamed creature dies, it cannot be revived.
- You can't intentionally kill your tamed creature.
- Dinosaur raids will start from Day 2 and subsequent days at 10PM JST.
- Spontaneous raids can happen as well.
- There are daily missions.
- One was collecting pearls from the water.
- From Day 4 and onwards there will be events to win prizes, including stuff that's not normally obtainable.
- Examples of events:
- Cavalry Battle
- Use a tamed creature to grab an opponent and drop them in a cage.
- Taming Competition
- Be the fastest to tame a specified creature.

- Participants have to write a diary entry for what they've done each day. Penalties will be given if it's not done.
This time around, I've been sourcing a bunch of information myself from the hololive fan Discord. A few of the information was taken from this post.

- Each member have been writing down their signature and/or making their own art to mark their diary drop-off boxes.
- Aqua has been stuck in a limbo state of her still being present the server due to force quitting the game earlier. She's been watching others' streams until the issue gets resolved.
- Everyone has been dying from thirst.
- Ao spawned in a place far away from everyone else, so she goes on her own adventure.
- Lamy was running a 2 PC setup with one for streaming and the other for gaming, which is why her proxmity chat didn't work.
- Kanata and Subaru later kept her company in Discord voice chat.
- Pekora found out that an Alpha T-Rex was near the base site.
- Pekora came across Noel as she got chased by the T-Rex. Noel died as she had no stamina to run away.
- The T-Rex got distracted by a Diplodocus to fight and kill it.
- While the T-Rex was fighting another dino, Pekora looted the body of the Diplodocus.
- The other dino was killed and the T-Rex went after Pekora again.
- Pekora led the T-Rex follow her to other members.
- Okayu, Mio, and Luna all got caught into the T-Rex's path and got killed.
- Moments later Pekora, Ririka, and Aki got killed.
- Kanata jumped off of a waterfall to avoid getting killed, but died from hitting the rocks.
- While Pekora respawned along with Ririka, Hajime also died to the T-rex.
- Pekora met up with Noel to try to kill the T-Rex.
- Chloe died to something just as Pekora was approaching her asking if she survived. Lamy got killed shortly thereafter.
- The T-Rex was spinning in circles, but later knocked around Pekora and killed Noel.
- Towa is busy building the base.
- Aqua finally got in after an hour.
- Ao eventually got teleported to the hub. Raora's body was seen at the hub.
- Mio has been making a few farms and building a auto watering system.
- A water tap was build but it requires you to jump to drink from it.
- After nearly three and a half hours, Marine, with help from Flare and others, knocked down a Triceratops. Marine takes it to begin the taming process.
- Another Alpha T-Rex was close to the base. It eventually went away.
- Marine has finished taming a Triceratops three and three quarter hours into the server. It's named "Yoshida Pochi Hanako T Special Generation Narco (Narcoberry Slave)".
- Aki has been making metal tools for the others to use them.
- Subaru encounters Aqua and remarks on her high level. Aqua tells the secret to get leveled up quickly: build and destroy a foundation over and over. They scheme to sell this information to others.
- Aqua and Subaru got a group together. They take Ririka aside to tell her about the exploit so she can tell others that it's legitimate.
- Thanks to Subaru's "whispering", others, Okayu in particular, overheard Subaru telling the secret and told everyone. Ririka also tells them that she knew about the exploit already.
- Okayu, Noel, Koyori, and Kanata were looting a dino but got stuck in a pit surrounded by steep slopes and large rocks. They eventually managed to get out by building a platform.
- Pekora tamed a female blue Argentavis named "Star Fallen Bird Star Quasar". Aqua suggests taming a male one to breed the two together.
- Pekora had to get to level 60 before she could craft a saddle to ride her.
- There's a bug where writing in the diary lags the game until it crashes.
- Luna circumvented it by writing the text out of the game and copy-paste it into the game.
- Pekora found out about the bug when she was writing down in her diary at the end of the day.
- Aki, Miko, and Subaru worked together to knock down a Mammoth. Subaru takes it to tame it and put a drum saddle on it for an buff to surrounding players.
- The server opening time was extended for two more hours.
- Other tames:
- Choco tamed a Brontosaurus that is level 221.
- Sora tamed a Doedicurus named "Blueberry Nuun" with Aqua's help.
- Luna, Lui, Miko, and Aki got a Pteranodon each.
- Luna's Pteranodon is apparently named "El the Scarlet Winged Absolute Ruler".
- Aqua got a Argentavis named "Aqutantavis".
