There are some very very popular english speaking male vtubers. Some of them can even be occasionally entertaining. The problem with Zentreya is that he is actively uninteresting, any collab I watch with him has the same pattern of "Zen trolls someone in a uncreative, actively annoying/unconstructive way, they yell at him, he doesn't respond/takes ten years to respond and ruins all potential content from his bullshit". Like, the path to success as a male vtuber is there, Zen just doesn't want to put in the work.

The problem is that it's a gimmick, a novelty you might fuck around with as a one-off stream, that's been dragged out for years. Since that's become the foundation for their entire career they're stuck with it now, and the creativity ceiling for a TTS streamer is incredibly low. Zentreya's schtick ruins any collaboration they are part of.

It also doesn't help that they've consistently had some of the ugliest models of any big vtuber, nearly all of them look like the kind of cheap porn game designs that you need to have been stuck in a goon cave for long enough to have forgotten what real women look like to be able to appreciate.

The worst thing about Zentreya's slow-ass reactions is that there are text-to-speech machines that can work by sight and are much faster than manually typing. People with disabilities like cerebal palsy use them. Even if he had to use text-to-speech, there's no reason for these slow-ass reactions and being on a long delay other than being cheap or lazy. If I had a job where I had to use text-to-speech all day and the speed of my reaction was paramount, I'd at least be looking into stuff like Tobii eye-tracking devices that can be integrated to windows or the text-to-speech devices I mentioned.

So out of curiosity, did he post the Toast VOD somewhere? I 100% believe Zen is a dude but leaving out the sourced evidence means someone could just be overlaying audio over that. Again, I'm believing it but I find it odd that the actually sourced evidence itself is not included or referenced.

A bit late but Botan got featured in another Red Bull Gaming article. This time it was about her tournament, why she decided to do it and her SF6 journey as a whole:


She talked about how Korone introduced her to the game, how she got comfortable with Modern controls, her frustration and crying during her first 2 tournaments and how she finally got a victory in the 3rd one. She went into her growth as a player before talking about the tournament. She was hoping to use her Hololive branding to introduce more people to SF6, gain experience as a tournament organizer and if possible, do a 2nd Shishiro Cup.

That's the thing, there is an inherent dishonesty to what Zen is doing that really sets him apart from other Babinikus. He's lying about being a woman for personal gain, I don't even think he's a legitimate troon who is uncomfortable with their body or anything like that. Just straight up lying for cash. Same as Froot in a weird way, they belong in the same corp together.
