While SorAZ Major Debut Live concert had a solid set list and after viewing both Sora and Azki review (they seems quite satisfied about it), I feel like there was too much gripes to fully appreciate it :
Incidentally, the same day, Itsuki Natsume, the 2nd Lapriere member, did her 2nd IRL solo live concert, and Nakuru Aitsuki, the 3rd member, announced that her 1st solo live will happen next month.
With Azki being busy soon with HoloFes and her own concert, guess it's going to be a slow time for any lapriere production as everyone is going on their own way...
- The venue was small and there was a seat sorting issue that delayed the show for 1 hour, from the camera pov it was really cramped
- The backshoot were too short, there is no point in doing so many of them if they last less than half a second
- Horrible framedrop when switching to the 3D scene, and switching back to the projection scene made the models completely pixelated, with the camera aneurysm going back and forth at lightning speed
- They used PIA as their ticket seller, which will only make the vod available tomorrow unlike the others providers that only take a few hours to make it available, I hope they sort the tech issue while they are at it, but from my last experience with it that was not the case
- Too much discrepancy between the two when dancing, sora was energetic while azki was barely moving, she did talk about it during her review but cmon, during her lapriere concert she was moving correctly in sync with the others, or is it the famous "bae dance move capture" issue? On idol steps??
- Sora spilled her spaghetti several times during mc, she admitted that she changed her speech a few times during reversal, so it was a complete improv section and Azki had to save her each time

It's a good reminder that this entire medium is so broad that even though we spend most of our energy on big corpos, it's still a look through a magnifying glass at one of the largest parts of the big cesspool that is vtubing. There's people out there having this kind of experience with a whole character/career arc completely outside of our radar and good for them, they never became toxic or retarded enough to catch our attention. Time will still tell, but for now it's a good end.

People rarely view things in terms of rating bad actions. Gura was a lot of people's oshi and the rampant parasocialism in this fandom means that people will of course care more about it than a whole corpo burning down. Only meta fags like me and some others here really actually care about industry prospects more than whether a woman is brain hort or if she's cute or not.
Kinda like trying to analyze Hollywood as a whole instead of being obsessed with one actor or another.

And it turns out she posted back in December the reason why she didn't stream much in 2023 and why she took a break.
That happened a month before I actually joined homeland, which I have lurked around for like, a month or so? I remember it because I found the thread during an attempt to figure out what exactly happening with NijiKR and scuddle's longpost about it (along with Kukkia's comments) which placed it around page 3k/Feb 2022. Then after some people clowned on him in the main thread for this, he came back to say the thread had lost it's self-awareness, ironically not being self-aware enough to recognize he had contributed to the very thing that he said made the thread shit, and then acted like him leaving was such a big deal that it would make people straighten up lol.

Military uniforms doesn't really jive well with company that more or less focused on idolling and with talents that usually seen with flowing dress or girly shit. Botan and Subaru might be the exception but I can see why Holo would have second thoughts about not giving the talent military uniforms aside of talent's own desire.
Niji have free reign (as much freedom you can get there anyway) because the company doesn't really focused on imagery that much, and everything is more or less fair game. So the talent can like, "Hey, I want my new year outfit to be a facsimile of Imperial Japanese Navy officer uniform" and they be like "sure, just make us money."
Honestly, at the end of it, it really depends whether the talent of each company has a desire for those military shits or not. The corpo might give it a blessing or reject it, but it's still down to the talents themselves regardless.

I don't know. Japanese schoolgirl uniforms are (loosely) based on naval uniforms. Military themed idol costumes might not be as unlikely as you think. I could also see it happening as part of some sort of game collab, like the Azur Lane collab from a few years ago. Is it likely? No, but it's not impossible.
