Twitch: DON'T MENTION SUICIDE
Youtube giving me music recommendations:
>focus on game trends
>don't stream in over-populated categories
Nice try, retard-sama.
>look for game categories with a high following but few people streaming
That means its just one super popular streamer like Asmon popping into a relatively unwatched category. People aren't watching for that category, they're watching for him. She also left out the whole point of "stream until your eyes bleed" because their algorithm doesn't recommend streamers that aren't live.
>use tags properly! using joke tags is funny and ok in moderation, but majority of twitch viewers will actually filter but popular tags!
Yeah yeah, tell that to all the top streamers using a billion tags. Go over to the vtuber tag and 2-4 of the Kingmaker spots in the category (top 4 slots are kingmakers as they get clicked on the most) are always occupied by some fleshtuber. People don't actually take the effort to filter tags, whichever twitch staffer told her that is an idiot. If they did, then all these people would be hurting their channel because vtubers are anathema to normies in general and that would be the 1st tag they'd filter.
You know why Pirate Software popped off out of nowhere and became a hugely successful streamer? He was pumping out tons of youtube shorts while streaming in the Software and Game Dev category, where the only big names are really Vedal, CodeMiko, and DougDoug. There's not enough huge streamers in that category to constantly fill out all the Kingmaker slots. He would stream when the other big name people in his category weren't streaming too often and his following from youtube shorts allowed him to take a top 4 slot position when all the other big streamers in his category weren't streaming.
