The idea that nuking Japan caused anime is kinda true, or as true as a catchy one-line meme synopsis of history will ever be. History is more complicated than that, as CalciumAnimal points out quite well. Astro Boy (1963) is seen as the father of modern anime - it has visual cues similar to modern anime, its popularity and success inspired a lot of later anime productions, the technology and processes used for Astro Boy were relevant for a lot of future productions too. There were animated productions from Japan before Astro Boy, and before WWII, but these are historical curios that didn't see a wider audience or influence wider Japanese culture. Astro Boy's widespread appeal and success led to the birth of the anime industry, and that was partly due to the recent history of Japan, including what happened during WWII.

Because the atom bomb was the first of its kind in WWII. Also, Russia would just use a nuke that is in the 200-500kt range, as oppose to a 15-20kt airburst. They would get criticized if they used a chemical or biological weapon as well. Russia-Ukraine isn't a World War, either, it's a local regional conflict. Like Vietnam or Korea was (and no one used nukes there either -- oh, MacArthur wanted to, until Truman smacked him down).

That's how wars work throughout the centuries. It's brutish and nasty. Also, an invasion would have taken many Japanese lives as well and extended the war for another year. The nukes sucked, but it ended the war, finally.

Sorry, but I'm still failing to see what point you're even trying to make. You said that there's "something wrong with this line of logic", but then went ahead and pointed out, yourself, that it's not the case. In a cost-benefit analysis, Russia would almost undoubtedly lose out mid/long-term from nuking Ukraine, because the pressure of "being the first country to use nukes in the 21st century" would be completely incomparable to America's bombing of Japan. These two examples are simply too different to draw any parallels between the two.
