Maybe, but he's awesome. The best bit is he's actually Asmon's biggest troll, but from a friendly point of view. He knows the Old Lore and the Old Ways, of making good fun of your friends.
They're incredibly sensitive to power dynamics because they constantly feel like someone is going to break down their door and do something to them. Which is, of course, because they're advocates for Marxism and they're projecting their own fears on everyone else. And entire collection of people that can't look in the mirror and understand themselves.
Debanking fell apart in the States. They hit too many people, didn't realize there would be a counter-punch and now their real, primary weapon has been defanged. That was always the primary weapon of "Cancel Culture": the ability to remove someone from platforms & services in the real world. That's what changed from around 2012 to 2018. People have always gotten run out of the public spotlight for "out of the norm" behaviors. What used to not be true is you could lose your cellphone. But, it was a Tactic and not a Strategy, and the thing to understand about the current state of the American polity is that power has gotten so radically decentralized that small groups absolutely can return fire in brutal ways.
Some of the platforms also finally realized that the tactic used absolutely would end up with a bunch of them riddled with bullets. When non-progressive Americans start organizing against something, it's really important to remember there's an undercurrent of "there's a line at which killing them all is perfectly acceptable". Americans don't want to get there, but always remember that's absolutely a long-term possibility. Understanding the "contours of escalation" is one of the binding American cultural traits.
Xi is seeking to supplant Mao as the philosophical foundation of the CCP. "Xi Jinping Thought" is what you have to regurgitate and apply in order to advance in the Party now, not "Mao Zedong Thought."
Well the issue isn't Xi himself, but rather the bureaucratic parasites beneath him. Not to say that Xi isn't an issue, but he's not THE issue. Replace him, and a similar, if not worse, hegemony will take form.
