There would be dragoon sperging, but most of the fall from grace in EN would have been avoided imho.
Speaking of which, what would have happened if Nijisanji just released a short termination letter, a week after Christmas, saying
"Due to contract disagreements, Nijisanji have decided to part way with Selen Tatsuki" and then just that?
Would all of this be avoided? Would people still think it was all Selen's fault for inciting fans to reupload the video?
The point of no return was the black screen stream. If Nijisanji had terminated Selen beforehand without the character assassination, I think Doki wouldn't have wanted to reveal her attempted suicides. That would have made Nijisanji's black corpo status much less obvious.

I think Nijisanji would have still lost their reputation though. Bad actors have a way of being revealed, there were too many disgruntled employees and former employees. There still would have been plenty of rumours and innuendos, but the black status would have been less obvious and I think it would have been a much slower decline.

There are plenty of fujoshi in Niji who ships the male with one another. But unless aster is fired they would still cope that Aster did nothing wrong and never harassed any girl. Twisty was the one harassing him. He's supposedly gay to begin with.
Your question is weird because you are asking about a group of people that doesn't exist.
If i recall correctly, Doki has requested a mutually-agreed-on graduation, was completely ghosted by management and then found out about her own termination via twitter(last part is fuzzy and i may easily be misremembering).
So it didn't even need to be a termination, and while Doki and Pomu graduating more or less at the same time would undoubtedly leave a sour taste in many peoples' mouths, overall losses would've been manageable.
I don't need to have a sexpest in the company to think this collabs are bad and all male vtubers should be terminated
Just to be complete, they had another song lined up (Bad Apple) but realized they couldn't perform it because of rights issues. They were trying to figure out what to replace it and thats when Mint suggested it
There's an awful lot of people who default to blaming the talents for things as is, and Selen did break her contract when she told people to upload the video. Hell, Mel got terminated not too long after Selen for a contract breach but no one cares because Cover knows when to shut the fuck up.

Even if Doki had later come out after the hypothetical short termination letter and said "Nijisanji was terrible, we had permission to cover the song from the writer, and I attempted suicide because of them", there would have been people coming out of the woodwork saying she was full of shit. That's part of why this whole affair has been so mind-boggling. Literally all Niji had to do was shut the fuck up and not give anyone an excuse to believe Doki. The absurd hyper-pettiness of the termination laundry list and the black screen video was so incompetent, and destroyed Niji's credibility so thoroughly, that no one will believe them on anything ever again. It's honestly impressive how badly Anycolor ruined everything for themselves.
Nijisanji talents admitting that they had access to a private legal document that they weren't legally allowed to read was the most retarded part of that whole affair.
Between "In my opinion it wasn't bullying", "We decided it was within our rights to share the document" and "Graduated members own the rights to IP that we created and we can't just ask them" it mostly comes down to a personal preference
Honestly for me the kicker was the discord logs they shared in order to make her look bad that revealed the manager ghosted her for days on a video she wanted to come out at a specific time
The heavily-edited discord logs, even. They may as well have just faked them to make themselves look better if they were gonna edit it so much.
Mel case was NDA, very clear and simple, and even PR statements were apologetic.
Doki asked to reupload the video which Niji had basically zero copyright claims on. Music belongs to Lily, vocals belong to Doki, art belongs to artists, putting it together belongs to editor, chracters are in fair use. And niji gonna have reciepts for every drawing in order to even attempt claim otherwise.

The fact that something's written in the contract doesn't mean that it's correct, lawful and undisputable. And we know exactly how full of disputable bullshit niji contract is. Literally down to losing character copyright to streamer in some jurisdictions. If niji posted civil PR statement like holo, there still would be a lot of backlash and questioning. Just not as nuclear a we got, more of a same trickle that we have with all other retiree testimonies.
