I started Terraria again. This time I've decided that I really need to suffer. So I started an Infernium playthrough, on Legendary difficulty. With Fargo's Souls DLC mod on top of that. So I'm playing Masochism mode as well. It's... well, I can't actually find anyone else who has done a full playthrough of this mode on Youtube with the full difficulty enabled. I'm 30+ tries into EoC and still can't beat the final phase.
Good thing I also added Thorium & Spirit of the Ancients as well, for some merely frustratingly unfair bosses as opposed to 'was this intended for a fucking perfect play A.I?!' bosses like I'm fighting right now.

Yeah for as popular as calamity is almost no one i know enjoys infernium.
Good luck with the playthrough I suspect you already know but sometimes when you hit a wall just gotta change your whole approach.
The old bungie and former Halo staff left long ago. This is just the death throes of their inevitable demise, a once promising studio that has been hollowed out from the inside by DEI freaks and nepobabies. With how the gaming industry has been over the years, this outcome was sad but expected.
NGL I had a small bit of interest in Marathon pre-reveal. Now, all I see is a generic extraction shooter with a banger art style attached to it, even the gunplay looks to be lifted from Destiny with not much change. This is the game that's supposed to save the company from Destiny 2's decline? Count me out. Bungie couldn't peak again since 2010 and this game might just kill the walking corpse.
if failure couldn't kill blizzard or bioware what makes you think they won't let bungie shamble around for brand recognition?

Been playing a lot of Emma recently shes no where near as broken or good as she was made out to be i would even argue she's a bit underpowered (just buff how her basic attack meter works i think)
But she can definitely impact how a game goes shes amazing at just soaking damage up with her shield (pair with witch ult or punisher turret or peni's nest ect) and she excells at protecting the backline from panther spiderman and psyloke whom she can just cripple.
I also learned that her kick deals STUPID amounts of damage if you can wall slam them like way more then i originally thought. if piloted well you can turn the battle with ease as the other team is suddenly missing their healer or dive.
Still on the fence about the new teamups. I hate ones that have to confirm mutually to use (Fastball as an example) as the other guy will never actually confirm but when bucky and cap work with each other it is pretty powerful damage cap needs. . moving Namor to team with hulk is a little strange but the gamma beam octopus is nice.
Emma's team ups are near busted assuming competent players get them. Double railgun from magneto or double barrier to block projectiles /ults and psyloke can nearly oneshot with one dash.
not seen witch and strange yet since no one seems to play strange anymore sad really.

TBF if it ain't broke don't fix it, the way D2 guns sounded/felt to use was always the big draw.
While true, I think you really ought to differentiate your new game from your pre-existing work to really make it stand out. Otherwise, you just get unfavorable comparisons like what I'm seeing on Twitter at the moment.
Yeah, but that would have cost money that could have been spent on classic cars and cross-media projects that never get made.

If by leaked, you mean Bungie said it'd be an extraction shooter like 3 years ago when it was first revealed, yeah.
Also his point about Marathon copying the artstyle of "The Culling" is actually schizophrenic, because this is what The Culling looked like.

I can't find a single youtuber being genuinely positive about the game. The most positive takes about it are "It's a good base, but this seems to be lacking something and a long way off from being ready"

It actually does A LOT of damage and you can hold down the primary fire while doing it as well, so it just rips through anyone, even tanks. If you're playing in a map with chokes, it's genuinely terrifying. Iiron Man also appears to be back in the meta now and when you combine him with those 2, you can't hold a choke against them. Armor Overdrive Iron Man Unibeam (190/s) + Witch Team-up (146/s) and Primary Fire (80/s) right at the front line while Strange just shields. That's 416 damage per second just from those 2 duelists. I've seen Luna Snows pop their ult and just get melted. God forbid your second vanguard is Hulk and now Iron Man's Overdrive Unibeam is doing 30 extra damage per second.
Her ability to force fights is actually pretty limited as her damage outside of Diamond Form without a high charge is kinda weak. However if both front lines brawl for long enough and she charges up, she's doing like 150/s with her laser and can just push back the enemy frontline with it. Her quick 1-2 punch in Diamond Form is 50 damage each and her kick, while 50, does 100 on wallbang. She doesn't even need to choke slam if she sees a wall behind you, she can just 2 punch into kick and will likely get that third hit off for 70 damage while you're stunned after hitting a wall. So all non-vanguards can't get near her if there is a wall in the same zipcode as her if she has Diamond Form available.
She basically just takes space by virtue of being a "don't get near me" threat. If you're a vanguard, she kidnaps you into her team if you challenge her space. If you're a non-vanguard, she'll just kill you. Just don't let her charge up her beam and force her to use the Diamond Form defensively. It's a really weird playstyle.
The current CEO came over from the split with Microsoft and spent years running out everyone else from the company. It's kind of impressive in many ways. They basically brought a sociopath with them when splitting and he eventually eliminated all of them like he was playing some real-life version of City of Salem.
There's nothing left there, that's been true for a while. Bungie always needed Marty because even for being part of the ownership group, he always had a very different perspective and a strong enough personality to encourage the much more introverted chief designers to push the envelope.
Being really honest, Marathon is exactly the type of world you should do a new sci-fi shooter in. Yes, there are people that played the game and technically a fanbase. But of the ~500k or less people that have played it, very few are going to be the target audience. But it's something that's "out there, in the gaming ether", and, frankly, almost everyone that has any actual foreknowledge of it comes from the Mandalore videos. Which is also why it's an absolutely great setting, because the world is crazy.
The aesthetics are striking, so it absolutely stands out. But the Bungie player base has been PvE since 2014. They don't really have the Halo player base to tap into, unless they absolutely nail the combat. If it's the most mechanically satisfying gameplay of the generation, then it'll do numbers. But absolutely no one is suggesting it is, which is a glaring right flag. I also need the marketing campaign since the announcement trailer (and that awesome remix of a Justice song) has been woeful. It's not going to go the way of Concord, but this absolutely has flop written all over it.

Evenyone hated Concord too and it also got basically nothing worse then "tepid reviews" and we later got confirmation essentially all of them were being paid off.
no one is stupid enough to sing praises about an obvious failure anymore the style of the time is now "damn with faint praise"
So though this guy is a schizo i don't think hes off that much.
