On the opposite side of the "theme of the game is that this is an MMO" coin, this one's for the healsluts:
Play as a healer in an MMO and build your party to progress through 8 dungeons. Spoiler warning, it's a roguelike that is light on content, and I'm only posting this to showcase the sheer power distance between the two games. Probably good for a few hours of fun, but I would wait for content updates before purchasing:
Was actually talking to some friends about this one recently. I actually used to play healer characters quite a bit back when I played MMOs with others. I enjoyed the hectic rush of keeping people healed up and managing buff rotations all while keeping myself alive. Especially in raids and PVP situations. I especially enjoyed healers that were on the tankier side. One of my favorite MMO memories was being part of a guild war in town against a rival guild, running out of potions, and having to run to a shop and buy more all while an enemy was trying to kill me, and the guy couldn't even kill me while I was in the shop. I was able to get back into the fight without myself or anyone in my party dying. Good times.
Been wanting a good single player game to try and simulate being a healer. The roguelike tag has become a turnoff for me lately, but I may check out this game for the hell of it at some point.
