Being the best of the last 3 gens is not really a high bar but i agree that S/V had some neat ideas, terastallization is great gimmick and raising competitive pokemons is way more acessible than it used to be. The problem for me, beside the bugs, is the lack of level scaling on gym leaders and such, like, you can do it in any order you want but there's clearly a 'correct' order to follow and that annoyed me a bit because Gamefreak could've done a better job at the level curve.

There was also a braindead simple solution to level scaling too. Just have all the gyms be at the same level. When you defeat a gym, all the remaining gyms are leveled up. GameFreak were idiots that stumbled upon lightning in a bottle and are just riding that success decades later.

Any chance of this thing being fully compatible with DS and 3DS emulators? I'd imagine the one roadblock would be the fact that games were made with resistive touch screens in mind. While this is most likely capacitive.

Man, i'm still mad to this day that they didn't bring Battle Frontier to OR/AS, instead they copypasted Battle Maison from XY and called it a day. Unbelievable.

ORAS fucked up with no battle frontier but at least it added content outside of that to make up for it. BDSP outright has nothing new relative to DP

I've never played Ark, but it's definitely a good combination of survival and creature collector. I still haven't done anything too elaborate with base building and automated crafting yet, but the exploration has been pretty good, and the creature collector side has been fun. I haven't run into too many bugs or glitches, but there have been some. Nothing game breaking yet, though. Mostly that my pals have gotten stuck at my base and become incapacitated because they can't get the the food. All-in-all, I've been having fun with it, and it's a very impressive release for an early access game. I've already sunk more time into it than I'm willing to admit, and there still feels like there's a lot more to do for me. I'm looking forward to seeing the roadmap they said they'd be releasing soon.

I'm also looking forward to seeing streamers playing with each other. I know some of the Holo girls have already streamed it together, and that's been pretty fun to watch. The Phase girls are also getting a server set up for them to play. I'm not sure what the longevity of this game will be for streaming, but there definitely seems to be plenty of content if they want to keep playing it for a while.

Also, coincidentally, I've also been playing Hollow Knight lately for the first time. I've definitely been enjoying it, though it's definitely not my favorite Metroidvania I've played in recent times. But as a fan of 2D Metroidvania games, it's been pretty solid so far.

Palworld kind of feels like Valheim + Pokemon to me. Ark + Pokemon too (well, Ark was already Pokemon, but still), but it has a much crisper feel than Ark.

I can see where the problems might lie. Despite being a pretty great exploration / autism grind combo game, it does feel like the content will run dry faster rather than slower. Dungeons and bosses were uninspired and dare I say, too easy. Tech tree can be speedrun in a day or so. I would say there needs to be about 50% added still to sustain interest past a month.

This dev specifically makes games that would attract popular streamer interest by amalgamating features, aesthetics, and ideas from the most popular genres into one package. That's why this game seems like such a mishmash of ideas that don't go beyond a surface level in complexity.

This retarded actual ni‎gger needs to calm the fuck down and get over something that is an admittedly darkly humourous feature of the gameplay and realize that some people are able to find humour in the absurdity of treating the abducted humans like any other 'mon in a monster collection game. The absolute madness that it's possible is amusing to a lot of people who would think of it and consider "They couldn't possibly let us do that, right?" only to find out... actually yes.

Besides, it's a fucking game. People aren't going to degenerate to the barbarism of slavery just because they're capable of doing it. This fucking negroid just wants to ride the current popularity trend to gripe about the fact he's Black Oppressing himself for attention yet again. Why's this motherfucker not ranting and raving about Rimworld, where the slavery, human trafficking, organ trafficking and many other atrocities are deeply baked into the game, even without extensive mods. Where is all the permanent outrage there?

Anyway, crocodile tears aside, I love this retarded piece of shit game. It's absolutely going to fall off and die painfully fast unless the devs don't suck cock and lean into the wave as hard as possible. It is most certainly more Ark than anything from my time with it, though I don't know the extensive intricacies of Ark past very early game there's something just extremely amusing about getting a raid message of some shit like "Group of Fangirls that cannot contain their overwhelming love" and getting rushed down by a pack of 7-8 nine foot tall pink scalies only for my concentration camp of war prisoners to turn around and gun them down in a firing line.

Now here's my big question over Palworld: How long do you think it will be until someone dumps the asset files and edits a vag into the cat witch model?
