SMRPG looks gorgeous but it's easier than before, you should be able to beat this game in one sitting.
I wouldn't go that far. I played it for about three hours last night, and made it to Rose Town.

Valve also updated the original release as documented here:
The Update's notable inclusions are
  • The Half Life Uplink demo that originally was a retail-only release is officially added to the game.
  • Added Widescreen/4K support
  • Steam Deck support.
  • Added 4 brand new Valve-made maps for Deathmatch multi-player.
  • Added an additional 3 maps exclusive to a rare retail released called Half Life: Further Data.
  • Added new sprays for multi-player.
  • Added 2 multiplayer models that were a retail-exclusive bonus.
  • Added Ivan the Space Biker (aka proto-Gordon) and Alpha-build Barney to multi-player models.
  • Changed the menu back to the WON Menu.
  • Archived the original steam release under "beta branches" in options as "Steam Legacy" in case the update fucks some mods.
  • Updated The Localization Files.
  • Killed Half Life: Source (no longer promoted on steam, though you can still buy it).
Edit: Forgot that the 4 new Valve made HLDM maps were made to show off that they adjusted a lot of stuff behind the scenes with the GoldSource engine (doubled entity limits is one thing I heard).

This is actually cool. I mean I never liked Uplink but I'm glad its on there now. Half-Life Source was always a gimmick that didn't quite work.

I wish though that they'd throw some of the mods that were included with the Counter-Strike/Half-Life GOTY release on steam by default. I know we got Ricochet and Deathmatch Classic but we didn't get the western one for instance

Valve will do anything but release a new fucking game. Jesus Christ.
Why would they? they have the largest and best storefront out there. Gaben is clearly more interested in tech then in gaming. they own a few really good ip's that people still want to make games for which Gaben will once in a blue moon approve.

TF3 when?

What's that thing Todd Howard said? If you want a new game, stop buying Skyrim

Oh wow to live in a world where people hated the original release and still fucking remember why.

please god let this be a shitshow.

Interesting they turned what looks like the multiplayer mode into a single player roguelike tho.

For TLOU2 Remaster
According to the leaked listing:
  • Roguelike where you survive through random encounters
  • Unlockable playable characters
  • Guitar Freeplay mode so you can play the guitar minigame
  • Dev commentary
  • 3 "lost levels" that never made it into release
  • Speedrun mode
  • Character and weapon skins
  • Dualsense features and faster load times
So they ported to PS5, added dual sense features, and did what every other dev would call post-launch support. Earlier leaks were the GAAS multiplayer for TLOU factions is in development hell because Sony told Bungie to look at what ND was doing and Bungie said it was shit. Neil also pissed off the TLOU2 fag fans last month because he posted an Israel flag on Instagram.

They're actually doing it :SelenHAHAhere:

The comment section is pretty funny, though. So whatever amount of money they're wasting on this was worth seeing them get made fun of.

meh sticker me autistic if you want good films get shit trailers all the time.

And unless im missing something the framing device of the movie is an escort quest rather then "lets genderswap because we need to pander" which is something in the vein of super heroes (the escort quest hell Logan actually did it excellently)

So untill i learn more ive seen worse marvel films though i will jump ship if they imply the other ladies are supposed to be (hero names here)

That being said Madame Web was always a mess of a character from a mess of a story which tried to be grand and epic while everyone reading only really cared about the funni spidermen that might show up.

The negro with an afro is suppose to be Mattie Franklin, so they negro'fied one of the characters.

Not a high bar when nearly everything after Endgame was a dumpster fire, especially stuff like Antman 3 and The Marvels. The director doesn't have anything amazing to their catalog, they basically do like 2-3 episodes of work on some series. One of the most notable credits is a few episodes of Season 4 of Dexter, which was heavily carried by the actors and not so much the writing or directing.

Sony is extremely retarded. They had a free pass after No Way Home to bring back Andrew Garfield as a Spider-Man they could use without having to worry about Disney. Instead they decided to do this film and the Kraven film. As shit as the Kraven film may look like, I have more faith in it because the director of it wrote and directed Margin Call.

All of the non-Madame Web characters are supposed to become some "Spiderperson". They gave 1-frame shots of at least 3 of them in the "have to pause it perfectly" type of display. While the villain is also some Spiderman variant. The problem with the infection of various Communist religions in Hollywood is the decisions all the way up to production eliminate good outcomes because they require checkboxes be met, and then someone attempting to make a career has to throw something at the wall to see if it'll work. It really doesn't.

In the case of this movie, the real problem is that it looks bland & cheap outside of the obvious set pieces. A rescue/escort story always lends itself well to large movies, though it remains to be seen how badly they'll miss the mark with execution. If Morbius is anything to go by.

Also, the fact that they've really cribbed from the entirety of the Western genre for one super hero movie (Logan) has been a great mistake.

For all of the cultural arson that Marvel is invested in, their actual biggest mistake (and what has doomed them) was "casting" directors rather than hiring creatives. The named director barely has any influence on the actual project, even if they do direct the non-action sequences. It's meant there's very little style to the films and everything is forgettable. The only highlights end up being actors knocking it out of the park, occasionally.

Sort of. The Russo brothers and James Gunn had plenty of influence and their films stood out the most. However it is like you said and a lot of the films just started trying to mimic the Guardians of the Galaxy formula for making a film after that came out though. After GotG, there was no more films with "genre" styles like Thor being Shakespearean, Captain America being War Pulp, or Winter Soldier being Political Thriller. The one director post endgame that appeared to have the most influence on their film was Waititi but then ended up with Thor: Love and Thunder, which even the Marvel fanboys don't bother defending.

i have zero comprehension on how the guy who made the funni hitler movie and Thor the Abridgining (ragnarok is essentially 5 different thor arcs mashed together) made Love and Thunder.

The management of Marvel movies changed after Endgame. They either hire the director to fit a quota and it's really run by the producers OR the incumbent director has all of the pull and no pushback. There's nothing competent about production management, but that's generally a Hollywood problem anyway.

In a Poor man's attempt to get this back on the topic of games and also paint myself a target for further mockery.

Pokemon ive been playing it specifically Romhacks of Emerald & FireRed found a few Gems that might bear interest to people here who are tired of mainline games being mostly boring same old bullshit.

Pokemon Emerald Elite Redux not only offering a few new pokemon (mostly mega evo's) but hits you with a surprisingly intricate gimmick. What if every pokemon had 4 abilities.

Surprisingly balanced and fun tromp through Emerald the fun comes mostly from team building though there are challenge options that give you more bang for your buck things like Setting the Sun having Solar Power and Chorophyll all at once with new abilites allowing for new strategies and Rebalance of what abilities a pokemon have keeps the game from being a complete stomp on the players end.

Pokemon Emerald Rogue: Pokemon as a slay the spire esk roguelike travel down a path choosing your encounters build a pokemon team and try to boss gauntlet the gymleaders the elite 4 and the champion while building up the hub area which grant you bonuses for your next run (or disable the upgrades and run fresh) good timesink.

Pokemon Unbound: Storyhack not too much to say except i had a decent time in a new region with several features that make playing it a bit unique like your first pokemon are likely to be ice type so managing their several weaknesses during the part of the game where your most vulnerable was memorable. just a solid good time. (though you might wish to wait for the final update to drop that adds the final post game area)

Pokemon Voyage:Another Storyhack though this one is much less of a "sandbox" it's about halfway finished with a decent number of fakemon (fan made pokemon) and an amusing if shallow attempt at a morality system good solid gameplay tweeking that feels like an actual evolution of pokemon rather then just straight up giving you a free team of level capped perfect iv's/ev's like unbound does. i'm about halfway through it and content has not let up each cities has a number of things to check out and it's been a ride.
