I don't think Nolan knew whatever he did is causing his parents' concerns. I guess Nolan never learnt about his issue at all.

The fun part about Nolan's rants is how he always just casually lets out all these interesting details and hints that he's absolutely fucking crazy without realizing it. The guy has a tantrum and punches a wall, then has no clue why the dog is scared of him and too afraid to eat around him when he's yelling. My favorite part is when he just randomly includes the phrase "I'm right." There's no reason for that, it sounds like he's trying to convince himself that he's right. He's completely obsessed with trying to see himself as the victim that does no wrong despite being an incorrigible cretin. I bet when he finally kill his parents in their sleep because they blocked him from the internet during Gura's graduation, he's going to try to defend it by saying he was justified in killing them because of some incredibly retarded reasoning.

Cause and effect and empathy are very difficult concepts, please understand. Nolan can only process the dog's sudden unease and fear through the frustration it caused by making him take longer to finish his chores.

I do like the final touch though, pure "you can't make this shit up" Nolanism wherein he has to point out how absolutely ruined his life is because he missed a birthday celebration stream. All because of a movie! "I missed %/minute count of said stream" Nigga I dunno, watch a fucking VoD? Yes yes I know, poor little Nolan just CANNOT SURVIVE without the chat. How awful of me to suggest that. You care enough about said stream to tardrage out about missing some of them, apparently even a mathmatical percentage of one, but the moment it ends and becomes a VoD that shit flies out your mind at a record speed.
