I can understand that but idk for me middle and high school was just tedium repetition of nothing of substance that actually stuck go me casue I was just miserable for 6 hours then had to half ass work out of dingy text book that did more to hurt my understanding then help. Those years of school are designed to cram children into controlled wagies more then anything.

It's especially frustrating since teachers literally cannot discipline a failing child anymore. I have friends and acquaintances who've worked in schools and every one of them has horror stories about getting screamed at by parents for implying their precious sweetheart might be a disruptive little shit. Bad parenting will always override any earnest attempts well-meaning teachers and school staff make to intervene.
