I would never, ever had made a bet saying Pippa would get addicted to Civilization, more so the first one.

Usually we associate Pippa being addicted to games with the worst slop imaginable. Now, though? We're entering a renaissance of actual video games.

Civ 5 SUCKED because the character animation is too Disney for me so I didn't give it much of a chance, Civ 4 I put a shit ton of hours into, Civ 3 is the black sheep but I also put a shit ton of hours into, and Civ 2 is long regarded as the best, like many 2s in game history.

So the answer is 2 - 4.

Whenever someone plays civ, one of two things happens, they either hate the game and quit within 20 minutes or they end up saying one more turn until it's 6 am and they have to go to work in an hour

I saw a good amount of people agreeing. Seems strange to me, as, despite enjoying the game a lot back in the day, SimAnt was not well regarded. Even as I remember it, it was quite limited and didn't live up to its potential.

It's probably just rose colored goggles. i enjoyed it when I played it back in the day, but i'm sure if I played it now I probably wouldn't enjoy it that much.

IIRC, that particular meme got born out of a completely-legitimate engagement where polish cavalry attacked unsuspecting german infantry and didnt realize it was supported by armor, which then got turned into "haha dumb poles tried to break through armor with their sabres" by germans
