I think a big reason Vtubing doesn't have those interesting niches is the origins of the vtubing boom in the west relied on people staying in doors and not having any money for a long time period. The type of people simply aren't there. Also the scene when it comes to internet creation has changed by a lot

Cyber Monday deals have been killing a lot of black Friday sales for years, that and like with Christmas places have just started doing thanksgiving week deals instead of just one day deals.

Not really, the online sales are better because many platforms are trying to break out online as Amazon is collapsing, but it still goes back to the curve, the reason online is better is because less people use it so they push more incentives, when enough people switch over they will be worse online and then as people don't show up in person they'll become better in person.
