Yeah my point is the fucking angels really should know that.
But the funniest bit about the "courtroom" scene and that whole scenario was that Charlie chose to, as her prime example, use a dude whose soul does not fucking belong to him and not a single eyebrow was raised about it. From throwaway lines we get elsewhere in the season, it's sensible to suggest that most of Hell's populace is under soul-binding contracts, which should make Charlie's entire endeavour fucking pointless, or, rather, switch her focus towards some sort of revolution within Hell, turning the plot away from "angels are bad and we should unite to fight them" stuff.
That's a good point, I didn't think about that but from what I remember most were under contract and Overlords were Overlords because they held a lot of those contracts. Though someone like Alister is under contract to someone else. And speaking of those like Alister most of Hell isn't filled with redeemable people who are there for drug use, they're there because they're serial killers, cannibals, and rapists. It's almost like they come so close to getting most people are in prison for fucked up shit, not for weed possession, but fumble it anyway.
The only character that seems to make any sense in Hell is Velvet as she actually wants to stand and fight knowing that angels can be killed, but everyone else is completely retarded there. Heaven too only really has Adam and Lute, as Sarah sits around acting like it's their only choice, because it is as the sinners would kill them given the chance, but everyone else acts like they can all just get along when even Hell can't get along with itself.

In my humble opinion, a successful redemption of a single sinner should've been the literal end of the show, like 3 or 4 or 5(but not more, learn how to end your stories, writers!) seasons in. Instead, they blew that payoff already on a joke-character with barely any development. Yay.
Idk if they're even getting a second season, and if they are, idk what it'll be about, but so much potential has already been wasted that i don't see it being any better than S1. It'll likely be worse.
