I like the original Hazbin pilot. They took forever to follow-up. Heard they remade it for the first episode and it's apparently totally different and terrible now?

I haven't really watched it, just some clips. From What I've seen it's still the same idea, but they dumbed down the plot because it's on Amazon and their viewers can't understand basic things unless it's forced down their throat. The biggest problem I noticed is that the plot doesn't make sense as it progresses and turns into generic heaven is actually evil slop, and they introduce a ton of plots and characters that go nowhere. Some songs are god awful, like the one about love, but some are ok like this one:

Hell'uva started off good, then started to get weak and I dropped it. Not sure where it's at now.

As for Hell'uva, it sounds like they moved more toward a story? Terrible idea. That show setup was made for it being character driven, like Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Any storyline should be really, really in the background, like Konosuba, and just have the character interactions be the primary focus.

I don't remember exactly, because it's been a long time since I saw the original pilot, but I think even in the original pilot the reason they were redeeming sinners was because Heaven would come down and purge Hell to keep it from becoming too big. It was just a lot more in the background.

The story is basically the rich powerful guy is actually gay so he cheats on his wife by forcing the head Imp of the show into gay sex in exchange for access to the human world, which is how the head Imp makes his money. We're supposed to feel bad for him instead of his wife or child who are actually the bad guys because they're getting in the way of gay sex in exchange for monetary compensation.

They're not even wrong really, no one knows how someone is redeemed and meanwhile Hell is constantly getting so many souls in it that it's fucking everything up. Best girl Lute says it best

Yeah my point is the fucking angels really should know that.

But the funniest bit about the "courtroom" scene and that whole scenario was that Charlie chose to, as her prime example, use a dude whose soul does not fucking belong to him and not a single eyebrow was raised about it. From throwaway lines we get elsewhere in the season, it's sensible to suggest that most of Hell's populace is under soul-binding contracts, which should make Charlie's entire endeavour fucking pointless, or, rather, switch her focus towards some sort of revolution within Hell, turning the plot away from "angels are bad and we should unite to fight them" stuff.
