Not gonna lie, the reason I've been getting a bit more tilted about her retardation this stream when I usually just find it funny is that the stream has been the epitome of this.

Nintendo have a lot of problems. They frustrate the hell out of me, because I would love to play Nintendo games without Nintendo bullshit holding them back. But god she's barely making any actual points and is just farming "yeah I think Nintendo suck now too" updoots from chat, and knowing how out of touch she is with everything videogame-related that isn't whatever flavour-of-the-month slop streamers are playing just makes everything she's saying more hollow.

Actually, here's everything I dislike about 3 off the top of my head.

• We're a third game into the series and the maps have continued to be more and more simplified compared to the Wii U era. There were memes about maps looking like a tetris block and we're now in post-regular-content-updates and they didn't get that much better with a selection of like 5 maps being on par with some of the least worst of 2. When I'm thinking "man, 2 had better maps..." SOMETHING HAS GONE WRONG BECAUSE 2 HAD SOME OF THE WORST MAPS.
  • Don't even get me started on how they'd butcher maps that were ported forward.
• Third game went ham on the references to THREE but never released THIRD WEAPON KITS in it's lifetime. Absolute travesty considering that weapon kits this game were either they'd hit the bullseye with them half the time and the other half the time we got dogshit that can be summarized as "THIS KIT WOULD'VE BEEN GOOD, BUT, THE DEVS DECIDED TO ATTACH (almost always Reefslider) to NERF IT FOR NO REASON!"
  • The amount of Specials in this game feels this. In 2 you had a decent selection of weapon varieties. "Man I want to play the weapons with the Jetpack & Rocket Launcher special (Inkjet). oh boy 8 different weapons!"
    • "Man I want to play the weapons with that same special because they brought it back for 3! There's... like, 3 choices? What?" You wouldn't believe me if I told you this special was added with the base game by that logic btw. It's almost as bad for specials added post-launch. Don't worry though, if you're a fan of REEF SLIDER there's like 12 weapons to choose from!
• Update cycles being regulated into a seasonal format for this game were done poorly. You'd experience the majority of the content that wasn't a splatfest/Big Run within the first week.
  • Seasonal updates were also done for competitive and they flopped on that front too. Too much shit was undertuned and the stuff that wasn't was almost always overtuned and never looked at. Almost like they were scared to do anything.
    • Never touched the shooter-class weapons with nerfs because...??? Never addressed problems with the crippling nerfs weapons like Brellas got midway into Splatoon 2 because...??? We overtuned a fucking pencil rifle and never bothered to nerf it directly afterward and instead nerfed EVERY OTHER BACKLINE WEAPON because...???
    • My prevailing theory is that this game was that this game was made by the B-team at Nintendo EDP 5 (who works on Animal Crossing and Splatoon games) and they were told specifically to not fuck with the balancing too hard. They took way way way too long to address the big Elephant CRAB SHAPED TANK in the room (nearly a year) and for 2 seasons where we had a good meta they immediately made sure next season it'd be ruined.
• I have nothing bad to say about the base Story mode, honestly. It's great! If anything it's too same-y to Octo Expansion from 2 but that's not really a bad thing.
  • I Don't have much negative to say about the DLC Story Mode. I feel like even for a rougelite experience they were going for, they lacked in content. Almost feels like the team was stretched thin on what they could do for it until a few months before release. (This DLC got delayed at one point btw.)
• They improved everything on what Pippa said about Online. Want to queue in turf war with your buddies on the same team? You can do that! Want to play ranked with friends? You can do that! Want to play the PvE mode with friends more reliably? You can do that! Want be a streamer and have a pool that people can refresh constantly and make lobbies for you to join? You can do that!
  • I have had people I've known on the datamining side say that Splatoon 3, if anything was a a proof-of-concept for Nintendo's catching up with their online service to be able to properly do this.
• Worst thing about the Online service though is that while it improved in those qualities it definitely feels worse in others. If you have a shoddy connection at all expect to disconnect randomly even with a LAN adapter. It's fucking ridiculous. I went from thinking the online-cooldown-dc screen was a myth in 2 only seen by ragers and the like to having to calculate "is my online okay enough tonight?" "I don't think playing at 8pm is a good idea, I always dc randomly after 9pm".

She started out solid and you could tell she had those first few points thought out cause she read the thread , but once she moved on from that it's been a lot more sporadic on if the take is good or not.
