TLDR: You actually need to spend time training a skill to be able to fly more advanced and different kinds of ships, and most are tied to different skills and factions. As long as she knows she needs to launch it to install the actual game from the launcher, cause its one of those games that got added to steam after a while, it runs like a dream even on older hardware.
i hope she follows her recent revelations and installs ahead of time. seems she should try her best to get through the tutorial too.
For what its worth its optional. The basic "This is how you control your ship" one is pretty short, and the agent missions are more like guides for how to engage in the other gameplay aspects that I don't really see her caring about except maybe the exploration one. I expect her to fuck around as just her capsule when she realizes she can do that after spending half of the stream in character creation cause it's surprisingly in depth for a spreadsheet sim game. I have zero expectations for her liking it at all so it's whatever imo.
