She did legitimately only come back to streaming (solo) for JP events. She's always focused on JP though to some extent though.
Is this how Phase's JP watchers feel about Clara, I wonder? :ameliaThink:

What are the odds that Niji has her completely over the barrel legally, so she's just obeying all their commands to nuke her own credibility? Then again, she could just be a retard.
I have a feeling that she could very easily record or get evidence of such an extorsion, legal or not and swing public opinion as hard as Doki did, even if she lacks the general goodwill Doki had.
INAL but maybe even the most basic stripmall lawyer could get you out of geniune fuckery, especially if its a foreign company.
Then again, this entirely relies on her not being a retard and that seems pretty improbable at this point

Yeah, it requires her not to be a retard (which she has shown to likely be) and she isn't exactly sitting around with a lot money, so she probably thinks contacting a lawyer is just out of her ballpark.

Regardless of whether she stays or leaves, she still owes Nijisanji for the debut scam they run. Wasn't she like 10k in debut to them?

It doesn't matter how fucked up the whole thing is, fighting a giant company isn't that easy if they are as spiteful as nijisanji is.
Doki easily had at least 10 if not 100 times the funds to fight Niji than she has and with a way stronger case. Even though she was prepped with evidence and already lawyered, she still tried her best to play nice and just got strung along for 2 months hoping they would just let her leave quietly only to get terminated without warning.
What chance does Twisty have with some cheap ass lawyer? :educateyourself:

Doki used her lawyers to leverage a graduation. Her lawyers presented the reasons she wanted out as that leverage. Anycolor got spooked the fuck out thinking she was actually taking them to court that they terminated her. I don't know where you're getting the two months thing. She had a roughly a week in December plus the whole month of January and a week in February and was recovering from a 2nd attempt sometime within that time in January.

You forgot the part where Anycolor ghosted her and her lawyers, which is what prompted them to send that document to Anycolor in the first place.

Ghosted her ONLY after she got lawyers, too: Niji had no issues ambulance chasing while she was in the hospital after her first attempt. That's 100% illegal, open and shut case in Canada, and they still didn't end up going to court over it.

There's a reason so many court cases are settled rather than actually leading to verdicts. Doki could have won against Anycolor in court, but it would have taken years and millions. Twisty's case is far less cut and dry and she has far less financial support from the community than Doki. It just isn't realistic to expect her to be able to sue her way out.

Frankly, Twisty and the rest of Denauth were stupid to audition with Niji at all and stupider for signing on after seeing the contract. The writing had been on the wall long before the Last Cup of Coffee issue. But then, I suppose the woman hates working real jobs so much that she'd rather sign her life away than have to work on the side while building an audience organically, so.... :botanshrug:

Yep, she needs money as a backup incase it goes south. Doki is loaded so even if Niji chose to step on her again she'll be fine, meanwhile twisty is fucked 70 ways from hell.
Shit, they're not wrong as that $100 is a lot to 0-1 views lmao.

Place your bets on when you think Aster is getting the kick.

I personally think it will be after Nijifes to milk as much money as possible.

I wonder what's stopping them from going on strike?

Like not announcing it to the public but internally choosing as a talent branch to not stream until minimal managerial conditions are met, I'm sure that the risk of dissolving the entire EN side is enough to at least give some concessions.

And if there's no budge, they could quit at any time and form a non-corpo vtuber group ala V-Dere as post-niji indies instead of quitting one by one as if it were a dropper.
After all "You can leave at anytime"

The males are the moneymakers at NijiEN and the males likely are aware that male indie vtubers are rarely successful. Considering how much money they get from just memberships, I doubt they would take any action to rock the boat. This ship may be sinking but they're riding it out for every last dime.

If you believe Luca's schizo they tried it after a cancelled concert and it didn't work because apparently when you hire a bunch of clout chasing backstabbing sexpests they can only pretend to have solidarity on words, but when it comes to actions they immediately fold for their own personal benefit.
And that was something that fucked them over directly, there is no way they would care enough for a random girl in their branch to follow it through.

What would they gain from going on strike?
A chunk of them seemingly dont have that big of a warchest saved up considering the woes they keep talking about, and its highly likely that conditions are shit for some but tolerable or even good for the others. People with cushy situations wont stick their necks out for some online randoms they probably dont care that much about but have to be co-workers with. And ultimately, the ones that have enough saved up to strike probably are treated well enough to not rock the boat

It's vtubing. It's Nijisanji.

Nobody notices a "strike" because Nijisanji in particular has talents that haven't streamed for several years still on the books. Other corpos aren't far behind, either. Hololive has 2021- 23 Ayame and 2023- current Gura.

And these are top talents, not 2views whose combined impact on corporate finances amounts to a rounding error.

Smaller corpos don't look meaningfully different, even if we ignore the Hime Hajime meme.

If it's standard industry practice to not give a shit if the talents don't stream, the fuck would a strike do?
