There is no hardware/OS/input method/app in the world that will randomly switch back and forth what kind of apostrophe it writes. A different apostrophe means something was different. An unusual apostrophe means something was unusual. There are plenty of innocent reasons for it to happen (multiple devices, updates, what have you), but it's not meaningless.

Effectively all pro vtubers have iPhones and most serious amateurs do too. Some of them might only use them for streaming, like Pippa, but if you're going to get an iPhone for work you might as well use it for other things too. Not everyone hates Apple.
I just demonstrated two examples of how not unusual it is, though. If she normally tweeted using a web browser, she'd be typing straight apostrophes, but if she used an iPhone to make the tweet she made when she got her phone back, it's not at all strange for that to have a curly apostrophe.
My reason for believing otherwise is that the termination notice explicitly says there was a significant period of dialogue between the two parties before the social media access was taken away. That works against the theory that it happened on the same day. It just annoys me to see misinformation or unconfirmed information passed around as fact, even if it makes the corpo I don't like look bad.
