Not everything can happen all at once. We won't know if anything rratted in the thread is true for a while. Nijisanji may be stupid but the speed of which everything happened the previous few days kind of skewed a lot of people's perspectives, mine included (I was really impatient the past couple days), and even they aren't stupid enough to make the worst decision, in public, time and time again within just the span of a couple of days. It's been said previously that the Riku announcement could have been much worse. I suppose we are in the middle of a bit of a lull in the storm, and my understanding of the normiesphere (read: Reddit) is that they've started to calm down and yell amongst themselves to stop rratting and believing random screenshots or /vt/ threads - in other words, things there are returning to normal. Hell, for all we know Niji has really decided to shut up.

I personally think this may be the end of any huge happenings like the Elira stream or Doki dropping more details for a long while. At most we'll get bits and pieces of news here and there from radio silent talents returning to streaming and whatever the dramafags obtain/semi-credible leaks. I think doki is truly done with the situation and will not address it any longer. Niji is on two strikes and if they lash out at her a third time then the dirty laundry gets aired. I think the period of time to wait for is after Kyo graduates. While terminations seem to sidestep the queue, I do believe there is an actual graduation queue so that talents who want to leave get to have their goodbyes and the PR hit isn't too steep all at once. Those will be the next big happenings of this shitshow. I predicted this in the other thread and I still hold onto this prediction that Petra will be the next to graduate. I think her roommate sadtweet is real and the loss of her wavemate plus her radio silence (besides the Elira RT which doesn't mean much) tells me she's done.

Re:Cy Yu clips, I watched the full VOD of that stream for full context and almost everyone is misunderstanding some details.

It was NOT a recent interview. He didn't just dodge a bullet, he avoided this entire all out war altogether lol

The interview(s) happened circa 2021, a bit after his 1.0 debut as "Cy Yu". This was before his huge growth spike as both a VA and streamer for Genshin/Star Rail, etc. that happened around late 2022.
He was discontent with the lack of support for indie male Vtubers and had wanted to quit, so it seems he wanted to try his hand at auditioning to a corpo for perks.

The interview in which they would NOT let him continue voice work AT ALL was Niji. ("OH, so you put your voice work above all else?", "Is there any way we can convince you otherwise [to quit VA?]".... Literal super villain tact levels of persuasion here lol)

He says he also "auditioned" for another company which wanted to replace his agents with their own and that could only be Hololive for the Holostars division BTW, seeing as there's literally no other big corpo at the time accepting male talents. And afaik, Hololive allows their talents to still do voice over work. (Isn't Flayon a EN VA? Cy Yu knows him BTW so he must be)

Of course, he made the right choice, because after getting into Hoyoverse games as a VA, this dude hits 1k+ viewers minimum easily.
Maybe he would have enjoyed his time in Holostars but.... Niji would have broke this dude down completely.
(Also fyi, he has no actual vtuber history knowledge and seems to do vtubing like your average Twitch streamer [no real big keyfabe] but he's a nice guy from what I've seen of him.)

As for CyYu himself I've watched him for years even prevtubing even before genshin and Starrail he had an extensive VA career. He's a bit of an leftie who for example praised some censorship in P3 Reload (removal of an alleged transphobic joke he expressed concern about getting cancelled over) but other than that admittedly annoying flaw him and Monarch (who I've never seen anything political from) are a great duo to watch especially if Jowol is involved one thing I will praise him for politically is he's not about the Hogwarts or Palworld harassment shit despite his own personal disgust for both he's of the mind that he's not gonna support it but he doesn't take issue with anyone else playing them

It's kinda fucked up to have to consider having several people walk out a revolving door in line for graduation is a less damaging PR move than anything that's happened in the last few days. At the very least I definitely expect no terminations are going to happen unless there's something completely indefensible from the liver. They would probably need nothing short of their own Rushia situation for it to not look bad on them. Which they ALLEGEDLY might have a few of but even if it were true it's still going to be suspect as fuck due to recent situations.
This is also a reason why the Zaion shit was so damn stupid in the long run because even at the time much of that seemed ridiculous, and later now looks like a full on hit piece. So even if you COULD file a legit crime list people are going to wonder if it's actually true or if your company realized that a lot of that shit wasn't as heinous as you made it sound and figured you have to make the list "heavier offenses" to look more legit.

It however wouldn't surprise me if they did a few "harsher than normal" graduations or something. Another Yugo styled one or two for some people they have acquired a distaste for.
