Just before the thread is derailed yet again, I'm just going to chip in with a reminder that everything Doki has said and arranged with Nijisanji since the Christmas incident has been arranged through and verified by her lawyer. Including the docs & agreement related to the docs with Niji, about which Doki's lawyer immediately began pestering her to go offline and chat when the Niji explanation stream went live because Doki's lawyer believed Niji had done something illegal and they needed to plan their next moves/annoucements.
We have plenty of surrounding evidence and corroborated stories from other people in the industry that Niji regularly struggles with adhering to and properly writing legal documents. So, short of some massive reveal that irreconcilably proves that Doki and her lawyer are talking out of their ass about all this, I'm going to take it on faith that her & her lawyer know more about the specific laws involved in this case than the incoherent and inflammatory ramblings of a known retard who won't even do their own research on the topic.

I've never read these many pages in a single day in my entire life. Gonna say, this mess is gonna go down in vtubing history, and what baffles me the most is the fact that for the first time (besides Zaion vs everybody) we see literal factions of talents basically siding against eachother. Vtubers that have a pretty respectable history, too. I'd have not believed one if they would have told that me Selen and Elira would be put against eachother one day. As many have already said, I do not see any reason whatsoever Black Company TM should've done this.

They're literally dividing the fanbase, which as any person with a brain knows is a bad idea for your brand. Involving the talents is bound to make a disaster happen. Thing is, though, we don't even know exactly *who* is inside the factions. Pomu's position is weird. Was she aware of the bullying? Does she agree with what has been said? I doubt so, and yet she had a long-standing relationship with Elira. Vox's position is another pretty weird one. Is he really a snake? All the reports we've gotten seem to indicate he posed as a good guy, he even said himself that he considered graduating with Selen. What about the others who retweeted? Ren doesn't seem like the guy to approve of a message like that, nor is Rosemi.

I understand the hypothesis of them being forced to do this is kinda weak, but this whole betrayal affair doesn't sit well with me, at least until we hear more of what's actually been going on inside this crazy-ass company the whole time. I hope Selen's document is gonna end this whole charade, but I would like to know more to understand the choices of the other livers.

it is sadly a known pattern from japan corpos, they have been doing this shit again and again and again and they will not stop 3 years from now or 10 years or 100 years from now. It's something rooted in the society itself where "saving faces" and "reputation" is the important part and everything else isn't.
Some other famous case
- A well beloved director of a series called Kemono friends, and I kid you not, his name is Tatsuki, was fired for uploading bonus scenes of the show. Then they get the VA together to make a hit piece on him. Quite an interesting read if you check here.
- NGT48, a sister group of the hit idol group AKB48, has a case where she was assaulted by friends of fellow idols, she was forced to apologize by management for "causing troubles". Well it eventually devolved into an "all out war" between her + her friends and the rest of the idol group.
I hope Selen's document is gonna end this whole charade
haha, Nijisanji WILL clap back. It's not gonna end until nijisanji realize not responding is the best way to handle things and fire Harry, which I highly doubt.

trust me, it was very hard to click unsubscribe and cancel membership right after her stream. i don't even watch selen that often, but every statement in that stream was the last straw.

Damn, sorry for your loss.

Damn reading the 15 pages since I went to bed yesterday, I didn't know this place had so many fucking lawyers, with all of you we could form Inmate & Inmate LLC.

Dewey, Bonnham & Howe Legal.

So is Elira gonna try to DDOS the Apex servers to fuck up this stream too?

Vox is going to call in a bomb threat but jokes on him, they'll announce it internally and a resounding cry of "FINALLY!" will rise up as everyone slumps forward putting their head on their workstation and waits for the blast.

If Nijisanji had terminated her with a note that it couldn't allow talents encouraging piracy, it's unfortunate, but best wishes for the future, none of this would have happened.

This is the craziest part of it all for sure. I totally agree that from an objective standpoint, Niji was in the right to terminate Selen for promoting content piracy. Even in the light of her attempting to end herself afterwards, while unfortunate, if Niji just said "We terminate Selen for telling people to reupload her video" it would still lead to some questions, but none of this would have happened. There'd be no need for any further statements or explanations, there'd be a lot of rrats wandering around that would certainly never be stomped but things would be back to normal already.

Not a lawyer, and therefore not interested in the legal intricacies of the case.

I'm entirely working from this information:

- Selen publicly encouraged the reupload of her privated music video. Terminable offence
- the reason she lost the plot like was at least a year of managerial incompetence at best, outright maliciousness at worst
- sufficiently so that she opted for a suicide attempt, which doesn't exactly point at her being a malicious actor herself
- which was followed not by Nijisanji quietly terminating her, but rather by an outright attack on her
- repeated attacks, in fact
- which given circumstances, serve as circumstantial evidence for similarly malicious behavious preceding this
- therefore, fuck Nijisanji

If Nijisanji had terminated her with a note that it couldn't allow talents encouraging piracy, it's unfortunate, but best wishes for the future, none of this would have happened.

But that's not what Nijisanji did.

The legal details matter for courts, if it ever goes that far.

But for my own perception, what matters are Selen's and Nijisanji's observable behaviours.

And these tell me to chant TND.

Which despite the legions of armchair lawyers, it most probably will not - most legal cases don't go that far, and most of the ones that do still wind up getting settled before there's a verdict.

It might be cope but I'm trying to believe the change of the "vibe" (or her just seeing things for what they were) might have been what led to her leaving. Especially reading her "statement" from last week again.

I think, more specifically, that the issue was that management was claiming a policy regarding ex-members that had not existed previously, and appears to be overlooked or breached subsequently, to can her video at the last minute, after she'd put all her time and money into it. Said policy also seems to serve no purpose given the context, and it should have been within management's power to simply give their approval in a prompt manner.

Question just cause Ive been noticed a lot of the ex kurosanji talents in the the en sphere. But for the ones that have left, be it graduation or terminated, has any gone back to there previous models? Cause it seems like termination they go back to there previous models/life. Yet for graduation they need to make entirely new profiles. am I just being schizo and noticing something, which that means they have something in there contracts when they leave on "good" terms.

Totally unrelated, but I was browsing Twitter and found this.
