Bit late, but I've checked her wiki. Planned debut on July, got delayed to 26th August. She stopped streaming around at the start of September(assuming she tweeted her streams and schedule on time), so basically she was active around a month and streamed even less.
That's just kind of depressing. It makes me wonder if they're earning enough from the better-performing talents to break even, since burning through models/rigs/art assets etc. this quickly can't be cheap.

Dude, they earn NOTHING. Best talents maybe get some pocket change money from it. Nexas is yet to see ANY returns, breaking even is pipe dream for them. It'll never happen, they gonna just fold or bankrupt. Their butt buddy Captain with his Unalive app too. Only he have slim chance to sell, Nexas have no such prospects.

So, before we start speculating on costs, a few questions, since I've not yet watched any of these talents:

1) What are their models like? Are they well-drawn, do they move well? Like, are we talking cheap or expensive vtuber models?
2) Secondary stuff, like intro screens, loading screens, end screens and so forth - are these decent or not?

The reason I'm asking is because I'm wondering how much they're spending on each talent. My gut feeling is that they're doing all this cheap, especially since they're so many talents, but I'd like to confirm before I speculate further. I also suspect that if anyone is a top performer, they'll get better-quality stuff as part of becoming an important part of Nexas's income.

Now, my other question: who are the most popular talents, and do we have any numbers that we can look at as a baseline and see how we're doing? And do we have any data on stuff like donation totals, paid subs or so forth?

Art is fine, but it's minimal head-only in-house rigging, no toggles iirc. Still, as a corpo they will be paying premium even for cheap stuff. Especially as a "literal who" 1view corpo, there will be no exposure discounts.

Not really. I don't remember anyone celebrating twitch affiliate or youtube monetization. And Unalive app have no statistics at all (hell, they added ban feature like a couple weeks ago). So to even attempt to gauge their stats you'll have to religiously watch them all in the app, which is really fucking challenging, considering it doesn't run on anything below android 12 (or maybe even 13). And twitch restreams aren't always available.

Ask Dena, she's used to be up to speed with nexas happenings.

Some are better drawn than others, but the quality is relatively low. They're all (the ones I've seen at least) animated and rigged very poorly. Hardly any movement or expression. Some have 1 or 2 toggles. These things are cheap.

2) Secondary stuff, like intro screens, loading screens, end screens and so forth - are these decent or not?

On the app (which they're forced to use) nonexistent. They literally pop on, stream in front of a blank white screen, then disappear abruptly. On other services, it varies greatly. Mostly its either out of pocket or made by fans.

So on the app, you can check each individual's supporters, followers, etc. but I don't know where to find the rankings or whatever. I also don't know how much each superchat costs since I have never put money on the site. So let's see...

Checking the app the first person to show up is a talent named Soma (not sure if that means anything, but he's pretty active and popular (fujobait)) his top three donators for the month have donated a total of 6776 "nexas points" (I dont know what they're called. Checking the prices to buy them, I see that 6000 points costs $89.99. Plus various donations from 43 others. Last month's top 3 donations were a total of 9344 points with various small donations from 60 others.
Here's his twitch too

Sorry I really don't want to go through all of these talents, but I hope that gives you an idea?

Yeah, the bare minimum, but they're there on the talent profiles.

I looked at the first wave of nexus talents and Soma isn't all that big among them. The only ones that are 4 digit subs are Lulu Lasso and Esila Shephield

A better metric of donations on this Anilive using those two:
Lulu This Month
Top 3 donators donated 27,68 coins with 46 other supporters

Last Month
Top 3: 10907 with 42 other supporters
She has a couple whales... or rather dolphins I guess

Esila This Month
Top 3: 25164 with 80 other supporters

Last Month
Top 3: 114771 with 97 other supporters (I don't know if she has exactly 100 supporters or the app simply stops at 100

Here are the coin prices

I have that amount because you get some fixed amount every time you log in (I don't know what amount)
Also, this app despises you for daring to use it. It tries to kick me to the main page so often when I'm trying to look at profiles or literally anything. Clownery

Anilive has a :pippanumbers: page for daily, weekly and monthly top 10. It checks the coins earned and ranks everyone streaming on the app(top 1 is from Jumpstart program). I guess anyone who's consistently there is doing relatively better.

I didn't check everyone, but Esila caught my attention. She debuted on April and is 8th in the ranking. Most subscribed Nexas talent on youtube with 4K(2nd is Lulu with only 1k but she has a twitch), streams there regularly and opened memberships recently. Her design is also one of the better ones in my opinion. She staying relevant makes me think she's one of the more successful ones.

I forget who it was, but one of the funniest things a Nexus talent said was when someone gave them a sticker, which is like a superchat, and she sincerely asked people not to spend money on her on this app and to literally put it towards anything else.

Man, imagine if Nexas actually picked the top five or six talents that applied to work at their company and did what every other vtuber company normally does, instead of hiring all forty-eight people that applied instead.

That would require them to actually put in the work to select good talent and invest money into them with the possibility of failure.

Plan was, and still is, to create an illusion of vigorous activity to jumpstart their rushed, barely functioning app.

You gotta be fucking kidding me. This can't be real...

:vesperfacepalm:

This is the most retarded thing I have ever seen a vtuber corpo do.
Dude. They had lecture from literally random vtuber fan. And streamed it too. If anything, this is an upgrade.
