A lot of streamers effectively want unicorns or gachikoi , even if they don't understand it. They want some type of irrational fixation that keeps the viewers watching them and not the next girl. They can gasslight themselves and say "it's my charisma and my humor" but a lot of their retention is going to come from little brain connections men (or Pippa) have somehow made about their cute welcoming character. They don't want the bad parts of this, but trying to prevent it outright might result in 1 view status for a lot of female Vtubers. It's getting rid of most of the "female buff"

Can confirm, a chuuba I watch has an amazing model and voice, is friendly and charming and gets raids from lots of larger channels BUT she reminds you at least once every stream she's engaged, she's getting married and it has tanked her growth. Sucks for her to have perma 10-20 viewers but it's perfect for me since I don't watch her because I want to fuck her. Low 2view chats are the most comfy and you get to actually interact without having to superchat

See I came from Hololive and Nijisanji where, at least the ones I watched had chats so massive that they just seemed like entertainers and comedians. My hook into Phase/Idol was Tenma who, despite having a super small chat at the time I first started watching was also pulling off the entertainer schtick at least to me. Except with more chat interaction. Which led to Pippa who was largely the same. I can't say the same for a lot of others though as a lot of them try to get real personal with their chat or at least are faking it.

the best part of vtuber gfe is that they always have to perform for you or else their pay tanks. a real life gfe is being miserable for a few days because your gf was mad you didnt do the dishes last night and you wake up to her being a bitch about everything and by god she'll bring it up next week when you leave your clothes on the floor.
