Yeah I feel like the intention of the rule is to prohibit promoting other streams in chat. As in actually spamming other streamers or trying to actually tell chat to go to another stream. What happens every night when it's time to raid? "Who's on right now?" and then dozens of people break this rule telling the streamer who they can raid. It's not modded because obviously this isn't what the rule is for, but it is technically breaking the rule. Also, some of PC chats are not actually big/fast enough that they should be cutting off a point of interaction like "did you see ___ stream" or "_____ said this today". This is often the only point of commonality a person might have to say anything in chat. I think the mods (and there should be mods) should be able to use discretion on if the message is actually spam or disruptive and the streamer can choose to ignore it or not. And if you don't have mods, OH WELL, your chat is unmodded just do your stream. It's a retarded rule, simply because it's a rule that has nuance and most streamers are retarded. It's like giving the keys to an armored truck to Stephen Hawking.
Here are a couple things I've seen multiple times
1) Streamer will freak out about chat namedropping someone... that the streamer had already mentioned during the stream, sometimes THE SENTENCE BEFORE
2)A streamer will talk about not being able to find a collab partner for a specific game, a chatter will name someone who regularly plays it. "WHY ARE YOU BRINGING UP HERRRRR THIS IS MYYYY STREAM" (hi Lia)
You have some streamers that don't have this rule or are lax with it, and you know what? They never have this problem because they aren't dumbasses and make it a problem
You know what is worse than a retarded rule? Putting a retard in charge that is too dumb to enforce it properly
EDIT: I fucking hate cell phones
