This is sounding like some jealousy issues because someone made a lazy game and got more eyes then people who worked harder to make something more in depth and effort filled.
Sucks yeah but this shit happens, welcome to the real world

Luck is absolutely still an element of success, a massive one.
Man...I don't know why I'm even saying shit that's completely obvious to anyone that isn't Pippa's contrarian brain, right now.
Marketing is definitely important but I have seen some small thing shitted out suddenly become a big thing despite no marketing to know sometimes you just bottle the lightning by accident
There's is a problem with this stuff but I can't described it... I want to say it's like "cock riding in the bucket" mentality with consumers and creators, like "so and so is the best only watch so and so, you can't do this, so and so did this" it's annoying but you just have to ignore everyone always and just do what you want because you want to.

I think people overplay the luck aspect. Luck is usually just accidently hitting on something that the market wants, but there are a lot of ways to influence that luck in your favor, and the more things you try, the more likely you are to hit upon one of those points.

There was probably some form of marketing that pushed it forward. All kinds of shit that we use today all the time, including the GUI, would have died in a closet if not for someone seeing it and pushing it into the spotlight.
