They're Satanists because it's easier to gain power and control people when you are ok with being corrupt and doing fucked up shit. Just look at any ponzi scheme, they can be world defining businesses, but you have to willingly fuck people over like the Bankman or Madoff did. Same with Theranos, if you're ok selling people fake test results and scamming money, you can make a lot of profit.
