Like I've said elsewhere, Pomu will reincarnate somewhere else but that combination of character model, name, and voice was just too perfect. Even her little gimmicks like "I'm Pomu" and Big PP Energy, all of it just had the perfect vibe.
Pomu Rainpuff was lightning in a bottle, and it'll be a tough act for herself to follow wherever she goes.

I'd consider Unity to be frequent collabs that involve a decent amount of people from both corpos, but instead we have extremely sparse ones with only a select few people.
The discord leak was a nothingburger. The biggest we got over it was Calli unfollowing people on Twitter. I said back then but I'll say it again, the only one who looked truly retarded in that chat was Fulgur, who was spouting some retarded rrats.

I believe so since the western Idol circles are not too large, but they still kept it going in spite of drama, and Kiara is somewhat sensitive to outside drama, so if the leak really was large then id say they wouldnt or even couldnt play it up as much as they did

I personally think that's a bit of a stretch because most people just seemed to really enjoy doing it as shit posting. There's always some people that are going to go hard to cause issues but for the most part I always saw it as the old console war level nonsense. Often for a general fun dunking on whoever is catching shit at the time as long as it isn't something wildly fucked.
Unless I've just missed a whole lot I had always swore both fandoms were pretty cordial outside of the shitholes that thrived on stirring turns in a pot.

It was the worst Holo year of the decade so far:
-ID and EN fans angry for the lack of support regarding 3D and when Link Your Wish was already announced things didnt get any better because they were there just for solo perfomances
-The whole Rushia Debacle
-Her termination and the aftermath of that
-Mikeneko redebuting thanks to her fans getting her a model in record time showing that JPs could leave holo and still survive thanks to fan support
-Sana Going MIA
-OmegAlpha being OMEGA RETARDED
-Sana Graduating
-Kson debuting in Vshojo and trowhing shade at Holo
-Nazuna debuting and people thinking that K brought her over with her (she later negated this: i wonder why LOL)
-Hype around these two debuts and fans both from EN an JP spheres that also shat on Holo
-Omega getting replaced by Dimitri Jap
-Finally Gura getting Burned out problaby was thanks to this year
I would say that 2021 was problaby the best year for unity because both Niji and Holo were in right positions and other competitors were mostly harmless but now its kinda impossible with everyone stepping up their game and becoming more competitive

Sitting here as work has wound down and I can finally post thoughts, I'm still kinda spinning even 8 hours later. I know I voted Pomu in the dead thread, but I really thought it was more towards the end of the year. Anyone who knows Pomu knows how much she actually loved the entity that was "Nijisanji" and it's livers. And she always seemed like a Niji Ride Or Die member.
I expected more shit to have to go down before we got to this point so have it be on DAY 5 of this year is shocking. Even as I sit here, saying "NijiEN without Pomu" is as boggling to me as "Tumblr banning porn" was when that shitshow went down. I know it's happening, but it's like part of my brain just won't accept it's actually happening.
As to the coming months, I hope she revives Mint FANTOME, aka Maid Mint. That design is top tier, and having an updated version of it would be a winning move. As to where she ends up, I do think it is going to come down to "How much Idol stuff does she want to be involved in." She LOVES that side of the equation, and you are just not going to get it that heavily at vShojo. And she has a clear in at Hololive with Kiara. Kiara would be honest with her about the state of management and what she would even be able to do at Holo.
Though I suspect if it's vShojo we'll see her before Winter is over. In what form though, who knows.
The wild card on their side of the equation is "What is Lia and Pomu's relationship like?" Most people did not know at all they had a history/friendship outside vTubing. So how deep does that go? Add onto the fact that Sayu has been cozying up with many of the Phase talents recently, and there is a slim (Very VERY VERY VERY slim) possibility we could get an Invader wave that is all former Niji-Livers. Which a business concious man like Fish would see as a major vector to get massive growth for Phase.
My money is still on Holo or vShojo still either way.

I think they would be less interested in "Niji fans", and more interested in "Pomudachi" or "Dragoons". Fans of the individual livers and not the turbo toxic company defenders.

You could also bring up the graduation of the bois in ENStars as well after their debacle. I couldn't tell you if it really fucked up the growth of everyone else in StarsEN but that was certainly not a high point for Cover's year either. Arguably Advent being so well received really chopped down the sting that was. If that gen wasn't such a powerhouse out the gate Cover might actually have not looked nearly as good as they did for a couple months. That and Niji always doing some silly shit to draw attention away.
Hell you can also add the number of lives and shows that have been delayed by months due to them not being able to handle demand and trying to get the new studio running. (Which hopefully is mostly smoothed out.) Admittedly however, their production quality has like tripled so you can probably make comments on whether or not it's been worth the hassle some talents have dealt with.
