It's probably due to SEO shit, same reason why even companies in other industries name their new products and projects with outlandish/overly long names.

Imagine calling your new vtuber "Miko", anyone searching for "Miko vtuber" is gonna find Holo Miko or Codemiko for the first 20 results.

Serafi/Alien Mixture talked about this after she left the company. IIRC shortly before her departure she asked a manager what exactly the grand plan of the agency was, the answer was basically something like 'spam new gens until we hit gold'. All the money and attention went to new hires, who'd then basically be ghosted after debut.
