I automatically and completely distrust any vtuber who is openly advertising an affiliation or overt interest in imageboard culture. The difference between Pippa and the fake girlfailures is that Pippa doesn't revel or exploit her girlfailure status. She is what she is because of life circumstances and a total lack of better options or guidance. To her, what she does is normal. She gets defensive about it, she downplays it, and what's important is that she changes if exposed to a superior way for long enough. She is, by whatever relative margin you wish to use, better off, healthier, more stable and functional than she was 3-4 years ago. Meanwhile the fake girlfailures revel in what they claim to be. They aren't disgusted by themselves and don't have elaborate justifications for why they are the way they are.
