Pippa's early-year problems of being a hikikomori is a mental health issue, and most people aren't equipped to help people deal with mental health issues. Pippa's parents could have done better, sure, but I don't blame them for not doing so. And I'm glad Pippa's relationship with her parents has improved - having a bad relationship with family and especially parents can really mess with the mental health of a person, regardless of how many issues that relationship or the people involved have.Both can be true.
Not Pippa though, she is the real deal. Women delude themselves saying they're failures or schizophrenics but they never suspected their own parents of fucking with them for years while puking in drawers and having hundreds of ants as roommates.
