Moom may have had the same or similar Visa problems as Ina when she was in Japan recently. She had her manager tweet for her. The manager had her phone and was sitting next to her, writing and asking if the tweet was ok and pressing the send button after Mumei confirmed it was alright. (Heavily implying she was not allowed to touch her work accounts while in Japan)

She just recently got home from Japan, and has to go back to Japan again soon. She talks about both of those things here:

Is she telling a story of something that happened? Or did that happen on stream? Edit: It's a "May happen"
Also she did have her manager tweet for her a while ago, it was a meme tweet.

EDIT: Okay actually watched it, you explained it terribly. Not enough info to say it's the same thing but could be, though if it is then how tf is she travelling if her visa is fucked up?

I actually agree with Proc here though. Normies gtfo.

Twitch man, not even once.
It's literally that "degradation of a hobby" meme from ages ago.

Non-thirdworlders can enter Japan visa free on the "temporary visitor" status (and even thirdworlders can get a temporary visitor visa relatively easily), which permits business meetings and consultation, but does not permit working.

Summary of Lunova (VReverie re-launch) Twitter debacle New

For those who aren't following the VReverie thread, here's a quick rundown on the batshit insanity that happened today and where things stand as of now.

This morning, a new corpo called Lunova Pro tweeted a "coming soon" message and video. It is almost immediately discovered that the account was rebranded from the "Generation 0" VRev talent called Hotaru Iora and accuse the account of being run by former VRev staff/owners. It's also found that the YouTube channel of Generation 1 talent Lilrya Prisvielle had been renamed to a string of capital As and all of its content deleted or privated, so people accused VRev/Lunova from doing that as well.

In damage control mode, Lunova began sporadically responding to replies on their tweets. They claim they have no affiliation with VReverie, but purchased the Twitter account from VReverie and rebranded it in order to have it "kickstarted" with followers who are already interested in chuubas (note that there was some other would-be agency that I recall did something like this… was it CyberIdol?) and just grossly misjudged how people would react to it. They later clarified that they actually purchased all of the IP of Iora (presumably including her model and YouTube channel, but this was not specified), but only intended to use the Twitter profile. They also claimed to have nothing to do with the wiping of Lilrya's channel and it was not under their control.

After going silent for a couple hours, they came back with an apologetic tweet stating they now recognized their errors and intend to return their purchased IP to Iora's PL, including unspecified further IP that wasn't included in the original sale from VReverie.

As things stand, I personally am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that they are not old VRev staff but instead some person/people who wants to break into the space but isn't as familiar with it as they should be, so they followed some generic "social media guru" advice about buying a pre-existing Twitter account front-loaded with followers without realizing the community trauma attached to said account. We've seen this sort of thing happen before when people try to barge into the community and set up shop like they belong there, stepping on toes along the way - remember that app that was like "TikTok for audio" or something whose CEO made a bunch of weird statements about how Miku is an AI?

That being said, now that they have a bunch of eyes on them wanting to see if they'll slip up again, if they really do have some connection with VRev other than the bought-out account, I'm sure it will be uncovered soon enough.

As for anyone reading this who is thinking of breaking into the industry but want to make sure to avoid landmines like this that will set your public perception far in the negative before you even launch, might I suggest bringing someone on board who has been in it for a while and can advise you on what might not go over well in the community? It doesn't have to be me, but my DMs are open everywhere…

Remember this?
Anycolor will hold a special event to showcase in-development mixed reality technology as it relates to Nijisanji Livers.
Tickets are 1000 yen and locked behind a lottery. There will be 5 performances between January 8th and 9th.
The page explicitly mentions head mounted displays and controllers. People who attend are asked to fill out a questionnaire at the end and to not share any information or experiences from the event without approval.
What kind of VTuber activity could you imagine with mixed reality? VTuber handshake events maybe?
That event happened as planned and they now released an article and pictures of it.

Live performance in MR (Mixed Reality)

"ANYCOLOR/niji-sanji New Technology Demonstration Event ver. 2025.01” was an MR-style live event that could be experienced using Meta Quest3 and smartphones, and featured a talk and live music performance by ‘Hayato Kagami,’ a member of niji-sanji.

Press release of “ANYCOLOR/niji-sanji New Technology Demonstration Event ver.2025.01

In the past, music live performances by VTubers were mainly experienced by watching images displayed on LED monitors at the venue, but for this event, we developed a system that allows the audience to watch the performance in real time from their own perspective using a head-mounted display or smartphone. The aim was to provide a
new sensation of live entertainment.

System Development

The system for this event was designed to allow VTubers, presenters, and audience members to communicate with each other through low latency data transmission, and to provide a more realistic live experience through the venue's speakers, rather than through earphones, as in a normal live performance. This enables a more realistic live experience.

In addition, in order to realize an experience in which VTubers are more real in front of the audience using MR technology, two systems were developed: a transmission system specialized for VTuber live performances and an MR synthesis system.

In order to enable real-time mutual communication, production signals such as the movements and lighting of the VTubers need to be transmitted to multiple head-mounted displays and smartphones with low latency. For this reason, we have developed a new transmission system that enables MR live in real time based on our original data compression method specialized for VTuber live performances, which we have been jointly developing with STU Inc.

In addition, since compositing highly accurate images in real time has been a challenge, we developed new functions based on the basic functions of Meta Quest3 and developed an MR synthesis system dedicated to VTubers that links physical space, sound, and lighting.

In addition, general venues are not designed to wirelessly transmit and receive data to a large number of terminals, which has been a barrier to providing MR content in real time. To ensure stable transmission of large volumes of data, we redesigned the venue's network infrastructure, selected the network equipment most suitable for real-time MR live performance, and reviewed the data flow, enabling stable data transmission while reducing the burden on operators.

Future Outlook

The development of the real-time MR live system has made it possible to realize an experience that brings VTubers closer to the audience, and to plan and provide content with a greater degree of freedom than ever before.

The technology demonstrated in this event can be applied not only to live performances, but also to various other places such as games, exhibitions, theme parks, and shopping mall event spaces.

We will continue to take on new challenges to deliver “magical, new experiences. We will continue to work on new challenges to deliver “magical, new experiences” to our customers.
It certainly looks pretty cool, although I think the effect would be lost in a venue beyond a certain size. I think this kind of thing would be best for exclusive events with a small audience with max. 100-200 people so they can all be close enough to the stage to get the most out of the 3D effect.
I don't know about the viability tech and budget wise. They used the Quest 3, which as far as mixed reality headsets go is cheap, but it's still a $300 piece of equipment you have to lend to every person in attendance. They mention using phones instead, but I think that would be a lot more boring than actual MR glasses.
