I just mean that Fauna was already able to leave Hololive and take most of her fans with her. Same with Aqua.QRD? (No headcanons please)
There will always be retards who can't read the room. It's time to mitigate them rather than hoping they go away on their own.The people who "nudge-wink" bullshit are those obsessed with PL who will go to a random art post about ame and write "DaT DOBEE InTErEStiNG!" like retards who can't read the room.
It's not ideal. But it's tolerable. The industry wouldn't collapse. It's already been happening after all.And this is a good thing?
Again, it's not ideal, but I don't think most vtubers would see it as a big deal. Look at how many use TikTok. If you're in China then they know already, and if you're outside China then most people don't worry that much about China having dirt on them. Even if you think people should care, they don't.I definitely want the chinese government and their rabid fucking populace (taiwan incident anyone?) to know all of my information.
I'm talking about any of the regular corpos that aren't, like, 2%-cut Chinese idol farms. There are people with de-facto-public alternate identities in Holo (including "real" names in the case of e.g. Caitlin Myers). Phase explicitly does it with invaders. It's a spectrum, but the corps that won't tolerate any nudging and winking and completely pretend that there's not a real person behind the character tend to be the hellholes.Which are these mythical good corpos? Vshojo and Mythic or some shit?
I'm not going to bait people by posting it here, but it's not something I hide. Published articles I've written have my headshot and name in the usual place. Streams I've done have a facecam where that's normal.
Exactly. So how much difference would it actually make to put it as a line in their official credits rather than having it be one search away? Just a little less bullshit all around. It has never been secret, if you wanna know then just type the person's name and look for it.
Agreed, but I think the secrecy culture makes it worse. Takarazuka doesn't have this problem. Pro wrestling sort of has this problem in that every so often an idiot will go to a fanpage and write "herp derp Dwayne Johnson Paul Levesque", but all that gets them is some combination of ignored and laughed at.I get annoyed at people who can't shut the fuck up about it
Quibbles with how you've phrased a couple of those aside, the people I care about know these things. If I wanted to keep something secret I wouldn't tell anyone. I'm not going to be the weirdo who pushes these things in people's faces or writes them in the hobby section of my CV, but if someone digs into me and pulls up something like that then that's their lookout.Uh huh. So you'd be perfectly fine with your real-life identity becoming tied to your account on this website, where everyone you know is only one search away from learning that you commissioned cosplay porn of an underaged anime character, that you think it's neat to have nude photos of friends and coworkers, or how you use the services of rub-and-tug parlors?
Are you a fucking journo? I hate myself on the daily for being a filthy bloodsucking lawyer but sheesh son I pity you now!Published articles I've written have my headshot and name in the usual place.

I will though congratulate you on resisting my many attempts to piss you off via off-handed insults! My hat's off to you my fellow inmate! We may disagree (very frequently) but we can... agree to disagree.
Short story time. Suiika, a vtuber rigger and artist, releases a high-quality vtuber model: well-rigged, easily customizable, all for about $115. She's spent a year working on this project to get everything right for release. You'd have to spend a lot more than that to get something of a similar level of quality elsewhere.
(a)
Example customizations:
As you can see, while there are some similarities - understandable since you're using a base template and modifying it - it's pretty easy to change skin colour, outfit style and colour, eye colour, add ear types, hair ornaments, and so forth. If you don't have a model and you just want to start streaming, it looks great and is a pretty good deal, is what I'm saying.
Now, let's get into how it all went wrong:
First, there were no "people of colour" hair styles. Suiika couldn't draw them to the standard she wanted, and she couldn't afford to commission hair styles, so didn't initially include them. That's worth hate mail and harrassing Suiika, apparently.
(a)
Next, people decided to give away her model files for free, and without crediting Suiika for her work.
(a)
Oh, and it was also apparently too expensive.

tl;dr fuck everyone involved in ruining what should have been a great moment for this woman. EDIT: Stopped being a yamanba and archived tweets and added links.
As a celebration i will share this Yamanba remixBibidibabidiboo has passed C*nnyRapistRequiem as the most viewed vtuber song.
Game over pedophiles.
I can't with these new ass Holofans man, There's one thing to say 'The fes tulicket is too expensive,' yo 'Let's pirate streams so we can watch them without paying Cover money'.

Phase Connect manager makes an appearance on Jelly's stream (it must be manager week at Phase Connect, since we had another PC manager on-stream earlier this week with Airi).
She sounds incredibly cute. I don't know how Fishman does it.

I'm reminded of the incident a while back where a girl complained about her original artist not being able to do black hair well, threw a shitfit on twitter, and then replaced it with worse art. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Found it. Left is original.
Link to start of discussion on TVA since you can't quote old threads.
Aye. Seems just scummy to be openly promoting it especially since they appear to be fans..There's no shame in pirating but some people seem to find it worthy of bragging about for some reason. Anyway I think a lot of people just watch fes because of FOMO and don't actually like the music or concerts in general.
Also why is this guy saying "Holofans" like he isn't one? Bro if you're wasting hours of your life watching fes then you're no better than anyone else. If you're not planning on watching fes/don't care then why the fuck are you even here?
Three player zomboid.
Looking a little deeper into it at least the backlash seemed to run her out of the community. Twitch and Bluesky are gone and Twitter hasn't been active since this incident. Maybe she rebranded but I can't be assed to check and if she did it means she probably blew a few grand on a model that barely got used.I remember this garbage. Its funny because as always, they "fix" it only to end up looking like dogshit.

It's not the piracy that's offensive its the lame asf bragging about it like your some kinda cool rebel that's obnoxious but people like that will never understand itAs someone from SEA I won't pretend that I haven't pirate stuffs a thousand times in the past. But what is the point of trying to brag about it on the internet? You are not "smart" (you can search for pirated media really easily), you are not "noble", you are only being obnoxious.
