The few girls who have got in her car said she drives like a maniac. I think half of the accidents is because unironically she's an asian driver. The other half is because she lives in commiefornia.how is this woman still alive, and how many more times will she have near death experiences before her next stream
Gentlemen
How on earth is there enough of a numberfag appetite for data that they are publishing charts for 10 day periods? It actually is negligible.[Cross-posting from the Niji L thread]
In Vstats.jp's provisional stats for the month of Feb (data collected 1-10 Feb 2025), NijiEN has completely fallen out of the top 10 rankings. Hololive takes 3 out of the top 4 spots, AKA Virtual takes the 8th spot and Phase Connect (excluding PC JP talents) gets the 9th spot. Rounding out the 10th spot is the all-male Korean virtual idol group VLAST.

Negligible.
Edit: Adding last month's provisional stats (data collected 1-10 Jan 2025) for comparison. Can't find the data for the entire month of January for some reason though.

I was being sarcastic, it's just that a massive chunk of the western audience (and specially people who don't watch Holo) mocked the branch as a flight of fancy or some failed experiment (which in all fairness it could've easily been) but either by good practices or the grace of god it's almost doing better than EOP's own with half the members.Crazy how making a branch designed to reach a new audience that doesn't cater to existing one is making huge mountains of cash without negatively impacting the rest of the company. That being said, if Brave buys every single company they can surpass Nijisanji
Was there actually that much doomsaying about DEV_IS?, even among EOPs there were goldmines of clips that got people watching, on the JP side i have seen nonstop fanart of people like Ririka and Niko, Banchou's hood MV was a meme for a while.I was being sarcastic, it's just that a massive chunk of the western audience (and specially people who don't watch Holo) mocked the branch as a flight of fancy or some failed experiment (which in all fairness it could've easily been) but either by good practices or the grace of god it's almost doing better than EOP's own with half the members.
It is deliciously ironic. One guy said it well on a youtube comment section the other day (don't remember where) but the english side of the industry overvalues itself way too much.
Leave it to Airi's black company to suck so hard through and through that even getting promoted just makes things worse.Airi update
- She was forced into a promotion. It came with a raise but also fuck you work and she couldn't dodge it like before. Her streaming times will be later and says she wouldn't be able to scream like she used to
It doesn't help that she's driving a weeks worth of a normal person commute every day.The few girls who have got in her car said she drives like a maniac. I think half of the accidents is because unironically she's an asian driver. The other half is because she lives in commiefornia.
A lot of Hololive's failed experiments have gone on to become popular, despite not succeeding as whatever they were originally supposed to be: AZKi, Miko, IRyS, and even GAMERS. (They were originally supposed to be a team that would compete in video game tournaments and such, but it seems like that idea was abandoned before Okayu and Korone even debuted.)I was being sarcastic, it's just that a massive chunk of the western audience (and specially people who don't watch Holo) mocked the branch as a flight of fancy or some failed experiment (which in all fairness it could've easily been) but either by good practices or the grace of god it's almost doing better than EOP's own with half the members.
As much as I love HoloEN, I still see them as a sideshow, just like HoloID. The JP branch is still the main attraction, and always has been.It is deliciously ironic. Anglos are so used to being top dog in every cultural industry, that when another country bucks the trend in a field it simply does not compute for a lot of people. English = Global and Global > Local, right? It is deliciously ironic. I don't think it was that. It was just more "Why the fuck are they a whole new branch when they are clearly just gen 7?"I was being sarcastic, it's just that a massive chunk of the western audience (and specially people who don't watch Holo) mocked the branch as a flight of fancy or some failed experiment (which in all fairness it could've easily been) but either by good practices or the grace of god it's almost doing better than EOP's own with half the members.

Granted, I pay very little attention to the music/idol side of it all, so I'm completely ignorant, but as an outsider looking in, I've always wondered what sort of image they were imagining for these different experiments. It's understandable that they may have wanted to try different things, but even when I hear that a certain project is wanting to put a lot of focus on music, which it looks like DEV_IS has, I sometimes forget that they aren't actually a part of HoloJP because they blend in so well. Obviously, I didn't expect them to be separate from the others, but at the end of the day, I like to kick back and watch Kanade be an absolute menace with a goofy laugh in the same way I like to watch someone like Pekora or Miko.A lot of Hololive's failed experiments have gone on to become popular, despite not succeeding as whatever they were originally supposed to be: AZKi, Miko, IRyS, and even GAMERS. It's because Myth exploded alongside the covid boom and saw Gura beat Fubuki and Korone on the race to 1 million subs. What a lot of EOPs don't understand is that the JP side later saw a boom as well and has grown enormously with Gura being an outlier. One guy said it well on a youtube comment section the other day (don't remember where) but the english side of the industry overvalues itself way too much.
I'm just learning this now, I thought they were still under the HoloJP umbrella like GAMERS...I sometimes forget that they aren't actually a part of HoloJP because they blend in so well.
Very simple: marketing. You can't just spit out gen n+1 indefinetely and espect audience to stay engaged. Gotaa spice it up with "new project" gimmics, even if it's all pure bullshit."Why the fuck are they a whole new branch when they are clearly just gen 7?"
That job must pay really well to be worth almost dying every other monthAiri update
Unless something else happens to her she might be streaming again soon or at least in the weekends.
- She was forced into a promotion. It came with a raise but also fuck you work and she couldn't dodge it like before. Her streaming times will be later and says she wouldn't be able to scream like she used to
- Wouldn't say much but she got into another accident, said she almost died. Many injured but she was fine
- As predicted she was ripped off by her mechanic when she asked chat the cost of tire replacement or something like that. I know dick about cars and I find it boring so I wasn't paying much attention on that part
- People around her started having midlife crises. This started a tangent in which she talked about her childhood best friend. Pretty wholesome shit
Legal and bureaucratic autism. They can have different contracts with different incentives, revenue share and requirements without triggering the rest of the company with "well, I want this one too, it's much better than mine". They have much quicker 3D appearance with more events, they are also hiring people who were already very big in music before and it being separate auditions lessens the "I can't get into Hololive unless I have been a professional idol for 10 years" notion that might prevent some talented small time creator from applying. If they get into some trouble the additional layer of separation will also help to not spread it outI'm just curious about the thought process behind making it separate from the rest of JP rather than the next gen.
I don’t remember the exact stream but I think I recall her saying she gets paid close to minimum wage (of California), even after approaching 8 years with the company. She doesn’t even know if she’s contributing to retirement 401K or whatever other variant one they have. That job must pay really well to be worth almost dying every other month
