There was the "flag of the freedom" part but it could easily mean the US flag as well instead of French. In fact I actually thought of US flag before someone brought up that the French flag also represents freedom. Another point I have seen being brought up was "Gigi" being a French name, I try to search for the name in Wiki, and there are more Americans named Gigi than French.

Most US-born second gen kids of immigrant parents do not have accents - even in households where the parents still speak the native tongue. They're gonna have the accent of the kids they grow up with & interact with the most (school, neighborhood, etc). I've even seen it with some pre-teen kids who immigrated young enough completely lose the accent as they grew up. Kids are just adaptable like that.

Honestly, Gigi's kayfabe connection to the real world was always really flaky when compared to the other three. So, I wouldn't be surprised if this were the case. Even the official comics from Justice's debuts aluded to her not actually being European.

It's not like Vesper/Magni weren't getting views. There's clearly a market for brostreamers, especially when you think of how many top fleshtubers do that style of content. Obviously trends are self-reinforcing to a large extent, but I feel like in another timeline where it was the other two who left we could have ended up with quite a different vibe for what male vtubers look like, and maybe years down the line we will again.

Is there a market? Name me any other brostreamer vtubers except those two. I try to do my own content in Vesper's mold and I've gotten almost nowhere. Unfortunately I think supply outweighs demand by a huge margin in this niche and there's not going to be much more movement at the top. Oh well.

The "French" speculation likely originated from pre-debut rrats about her lore birthplace "Freesia" being France due to the obvious telegraphs of the major Euro locations from the rest of her gen-mates (ERB - Britain, Cici - Germany, Raora - Italy) so people just jumped to the conclusion that she's likely the one from France.

Of course, it's also very likely they did plan on having an actual French candidate on there for the character but no one quite made the cut during interviews/application so they went with best talent/applicant available and went with Biscotti for the character instead.

I said it last year in General Thread V3, HolostarsEN without Vesper offer nothing I want. I don't want virtue signaling (the flips and Altare), I don't want annoying retards (Axel), and I don't want lazy motherfuckers (Bettel). My standards for a male Vtuber are going to be different from female vtubers. I'm going to be more selective of what games they play even more and what their choices of topics are going to be.

Sad but true. Vesper was the glue that helped the whole gen work and to a minor extent Magni was a smaller version of it. I still like some of the boys but I have barely watched after Vesper left.
