They could've collabed all they want, and they would only have any kind of decent viewership during said collabs or when the viewers oshi doesn't stream. You can't grow a healthy fanbase by eating leftovers from someone's table, you have to find someone who would watch you for you. And unfortunately for them, the audience with the biggest interest in anime boys is fujoshi

It's not like Vesper/Magni weren't getting views. There's clearly a market for brostreamers, especially when you think of how many top fleshtubers do that style of content. Obviously trends are self-reinforcing to a large extent, but I feel like in another timeline where it was the other two who left we could have ended up with quite a different vibe for what male vtubers look like, and maybe years down the line we will again.

If a group is fostered with enough backers to push a particular political ideology, especially one that opposes the dominant soycuck platform, it'll become a target for opposition again and as much as we've seen people only tangentially related to bullshit catch heat from bad actors looking for any easy targets they can "own" for clout amongst their fellows, there will be unwarranted casualties just because someone liked a post by someone else that has made themselves a target.

If you're changing what you do to avoid becoming a target then you've already lost. (Of course if you're spending hours raking over political spats from years ago to the exclusion of the hobby you claim to be defending then you've also already lost) .

One side supports freedom of speech and association, the other doesn't. One side would let this site exist, the other wouldn't, and would demand I expose your IP, your email, and any other identifying details so it could be permanently recorded and you could be banned from existing in society.

I can remember when the left was the side of free speech and the right was the side of control and censorship. Some people may have principles but most people just cheer for their side, they want freedom when they're weak and control when they're strong.
The pendulum is already swinging back, we passed peak woke a year or two back and pretty soon it will be the rightists announcing what you're not allowed to say or think. We'll find out who's got principles then (again).
