Its weird with Gura. I honestly thought she would be the first Myth member to graduate given how she basically just fucked off for half of 2023 and most of 2024. I feel like part of her wants to move on but at the same time, the girl can still make bank without doing shit so what is the harm in just staying?

As the resident Kilia shill of the forum (I only found out about this site because /vt/ didn't have a PL of hers to point me to and I'd hoped the so-called "doxx site" might have more information) I'll give my unfiltered schizo opinion. Her content as Ekko does feel noticeably different from Kilia to me. She'd always been the "peepeepoopoo VTuber" and had a bit of a degenerate side, but I think she was far more seiso as Kilia than she is as Ekko. Somebody has convinced her to try streaming on Twitch and for some reason she listened to them - half or so of her predebut content has been on Twitch. She seems to be dialing up the degeneracy in her pivot towards being a Twitch VTuber (more aligned with VHoesho) compared to when she was Kilia (more aligned with Hololive). As Kilia her oshis were always in Hololive, specifically Kiara, so I'm not sure what is behind this pivot unless it's brainworms because she read somewhere that Twitch is better visibility for indies. Unfortunately, her Discord has turned into a huge hugbox and she has DMs and Maros disabled, so really her only avenue for criticism is the bad site (she's literally complained about negative comments on her YouTube to her Discord and had them affirm to her that she is super awesome and can't do anything wrong, which is why I don't include YouTube here).

Content-wise she obviously is pre-debut and so doesn't have a ton of content available yet, but she has posted 3 ~10 minute ASMR videos on ko-fi (one of which cost $5.00), a ~10 minute ASMR video on YouTube, and one ASMR stream on Twitch. Compared to the ASMR she did as Kilia, it's a pretty big downgrade in my opinion. The old ones were generally longer, not paywalled (except for roughly 1/month that was member's only but obviously came with other member benefits), and higher quality as the current short ones are all very gimmicky to me. She's also had a couple collab streams, including the British Stardew Valley group she was involved with as Kilia. These have felt okay, but you can tell she's not used to being the bat yet. The other one was Elia Stellaria's big Audience Anarchy stream. I hate big collabs like this so I'm a bad judge, but I don't think she performed as well here as she did as Kilia during big VSMP collabs. I always used to think she was the star of the show in big collabs like this, but the only standout for me in the Audience Anarchy stream was Specialite's Elyza .Eve.

On a personal level, I don't like the changes. I strongly prefer YouTube and Hololive to Twitch and the indie/VHoesho scene on that site, and worry that if she is even considering changing platforms it could signal a change in her content. She's on record saying to talk to her directly if you have worries about the platform change, but with no means of communicating directly with her you're left with the handful of us who have expressed concern in the discord - which as far as I'm aware she's never responded to. Anons are definitely justified in pointing this out, as well as pointing out how she's been constantly moving in a negative way (originally she wasn't going to have a discord, then she was going to make one just for announcements, then it would include a chat channel but she wouldn't post in it, then she would just occasionally post, and now she has 2.5k messages posted). Additionally she's chosen some pretty controversial mods, including Pr*spect Th*orist who my sources tell me bought his way to a moderation role in EIEN, and is rumored to have done the same to other indies/small corpos.

Kilia was my first and only oshi (and I've been a lurker since the Holofantasy days), but I absolutely would not blame anyone for hesitating before following Ekko. I was fully committed to supporting her as she chased her "dream" (which as Kilia she stated multiple times was standing on the same stage as Kiara), but have reservations about her identity as Ekko. Don't get me wrong, I'll still be there in her debut stream and whatnot, but I can't yet put Ekko in the oshi category with Kilia.

Given her size it seems like she just disappeared from existence and at no point did I ever feel like there was any sort of hype to bring her back up. Honestly it has been one of the most disappointing graduations. Also her streaming on Twitch feels like she killed any prospect of her old audience finding her. Its like being famous in some country and suddenly just vanishing and moving to another country to start from scratch.

Overall I just feel like its just a fucking dumb thing to do and it kills any sort of momentum or hype you could have for a possible re-debut. Maybe im just doomposting and completely wrong and she does have something up her sleeve but chances are that im right about this.

If a v-tuber really wants genmates, why don't they just fucking ask? The bigger thing is that it's really fucking cool that he even had genmates to begin with.

I'm not privy to the reasons behind her graduation. There have been multiple rrats from disputes with other talents, problems with management, desire to own the rights to her music, etc but as for what actually happened I have no clue. I do know that she was unaware the company was closing before her graduation, and that she was never offered her model/IP (though she did inquire about purchasing it on at least one occasion after the closure announcement was made).

As to her complete disappearance, I again am just as in the dark as you are. She had the trip to Japan with V-Dere planned for late October, so not redebuting before then makes sense. She's claimed she had what she thought was an amazing opportunity that fell through that some people believe means she was offered a spot in the new V-Dere gen before Elia left (coinciding with the rrat that each V-Dere girl got to pick one newcomer, and she would have been Elia's), but she's also claimed she originally wanted to debut in November but the model/rigging wasn't ready. She's stated she tried to leave "hints" for people to find her new account (which, to be fair, did work as I was following the Ekkomori account before Kilia had even graduated), but overall I agree with you - she definitely did not capitalize on any momentum. Kilia had (in my biased opinion) a world class model, so waiting all the way until February to debut with a model that doesn't measure up to Nemo's (formerly Nanimo Navi of EIEN, so started the rebranding process later) is definitely bizarre. A cynical person would say she felt pressured to debut before Valentine's Day, for obvious reasons, even though she's unhappy with her current model (she already claims to be working on a 2.0 using Kilia's mother).

Ultimately I agree with your assessment of the move to Twitch. For sure if you're in her Discord there are people who shill the hell out of Twitch, for reasons that are entirely unknown to me. But changing streaming platforms is essentially a death sentence for the average fan that's relatively uninvolved and just watches streams (literally me before I found her as Kilia). I can only guess that the people pushing for the switch are misguided fans who think the only route to success as an indie is to follow in the footsteps of the /lig/gers, or are bad actors trying to take advantage of the chaos to become certified groomers as her audience shrinks and, as @frz pointed out, she moves to a more interactive platform that is more conducive to "hoe-fication." I would like to believe the first scenario is significantly more likely, but now that I've seen her not give any indication of the ability to process the possibility of having bad mods I am more wary of her ability to weed out the problematic people in her community.
