The main appeal of vocaloid is that the bots have no "human physical limitation", they can makes really high notes that was thought to be beyond the range of a human singer, and then maintaining it for an entire song for example. Or the robotic, non-human voice can be used to make your music super unsettling (e.g. kikuo) to the ear and so many other application. This was why producers love tinkling with them so much. The name of the game for early vocaloid producers was making as experimental/weird music as possible.
But like all AI technology, the more advanced they becomes the less innovation and less ways to be used.

A decade later, human proved that those high notes that once thought impossible, those eerie sounding music.... human can perfectly capture them too as more utaite, vsinger and vtuber rises from the scene.

when I checked it was 600-700 on rie and jelly just started with 600 ish. I looked an hour later and rie was still in the same range but jelly had 1.6k. No idea if it was higher before I checked.
