Most Youtube fuckups are because of their dumbass AI systems flagging stuff. Most Twitch fuckups are because of actual dumbass human decisions.

It's not a point in YouTube's favour that your entire livelihood can hinge on being able to raise a large enough stink on Twitter for a human to decide you're worth bothering with to override the AI bots running YouTube.

This is a woman who could not game at all at debut, and a mere 3 months ago spent 10 minutes of her first RE2 stream lost wandering in circles in an open parking lot.

Last time she played she was about to tackle the final boss of her Hardcore S+ attempt when half of her computer crashed, causing a memory corruption bug that softlocked her and could only be fixed by verifying integrity of game files in Steam.

Today she grinded her way back to the final boss and killed him on the first try.

Clearly liked it a lot. Pretty awesome accomplishment for her. Certainly not something I could do. Good for her. Nice to see her finding a game she enjoyed this much.

But yeah this is actually pretty incredible, an openly non-gamer hag just diving into a new hobby and making massive progress within a year all while having a day job. Not gonna lie, Runie would be a standout talent even in a gen much stronger than Euphoria ended up being.

At least Valkyrae's complaints were somewhat valid, it's also unfair to expect teams to boot 2 of their players to remain competitive after they increased the number of high ranked players you were allowed (although it's retarded to wait until the last minute to actually complain about it). I can 100% believe that xQc was one of the big creators specifically targeting Doki's team though, he lost to her stack in comp once and was super tilted about it.

notFauna having merch, assets, lore, everything up rewinds her decision to 6-9 months before debut, so something happened between last april-july? Much to think about.
I'm happy that it worked for her, the pipe baku is insanely good concept, meme potential out of the charts and she just doesn't give a fuck. Can't think of a better outcome, masterful transition to a 100% revenue split.

My money's on her getting burned out or having a conflict with management during the leadup to Breaking Dimensions. During May she was talking about how she wanted to do more dungeon master streams in the future and was planning a bunch of stuff, which to me says that she wasn't thinking of leaving at that point. After the dungeon stream with Justice in Julyish(?), she mentioned that she'd neglected her "holo homework" and had to go without sleep to get the dungeon stream done. She had to move a few streams around during this period because of behind the scenes stuff.

Then she had her 3rd anniversary in August, followed almost immediately by Breaking Dimensions, she took a week break, came back with a single yapping stream, and then immediately went into ENReco, after which she took another week's break. I don't remember hearing about any dungeon master stuff or other future plans she had in Holo after all the events ended.

I'm so glad Doki got publicly shamed convinced into actually getting real dinnerware/utensils/etc. for herself; I feel like eating microwave meals off of paper plates is a natural multiplier to depression. Hope she shakes this off after a good meal and a good night's sleep.
