It's a tournament with tens of thousands of dollars on the line, what did they expect? If anything the pro players need that money more than streamers like Doki and Valkyrae.

Yup, the recent official Marvel Rivals tournament was almost a month long with a bunch of scrims while the team that got first had a reward of less than $1k per player. Meanwhile Twitch Rivals is giving a reward of $5k per player if a team wins all their games and gets 1st place for day 1 of the two-day tournament. Doki is dropping out because she knows the pros she recruited need it more than her. Any team that didn't recruit a bunch of eternity ranked players is about to get gangraped by all the other 4 eternity player teams.

Given most of the people applying it would just be keeping their original IP's it would be pretty much impossible to track as you dont have the normal graduation/haitus annoucement to go off. If you want to treat something as real work then you have a corresponding responsibility to be professional about it.
