Does literally anybody that isn't a seething sister seriously think that the graduations make getting into Hololive any less desirable? I mean sure I don't think the company is perfect, and I think the quality of EN gens has never lived up to Myth, but I can't imagine people seriously thinking it's some dump that they wouldn't want their oshi to get into

Of course graduations weaken them, especially the ones that aren't for health reasons or leaving vtubing. (Conversely, debuting good talents and having good streams and events strengthens them). Plenty of vtubers aim for Hololive because their oshi is there, and if that oshi leaves then that's no longer a reason to join (and might even be a reason not to join, especially if that oshi is now streaming as indie). Even if you weren't attached to any particular talent who left, the more choose to leave the worse the deal and/or working contributions look - the details may be secret, but you have to assume the people who left did so for a reason.

Holo is still the dream for many, still the undisputed king of EN corps, and has a long way to fall before they'd struggle to attract talent. But for a somewhat successful indie/small corpo vtuber wondering whether to make the leap, every graduation nudges the calculus slightly.

Her Japanese learning is really paying off with the JP audience, love to see it. More vtubers should be trying to make content out of their language-learning journey, it's the kind of self-improvement that motivates viewers, like singing and dancing lessons. Though that would require actually being serious about learning Japanese in the first palace, instead of just putting it as a nebulous goal during debut.
