Kiara found out about the next Mario Kart having a 24-player mode
So did Minto.
Am I misunderstanding it, or this whole drama just because she chose to use people who aren't content creators and not because she is try harding?
Why would anyone have such a big problem with that? I have to assume this must be being driven by some specific people who only joined the tourney for clout and are mad they won't get any if they play against a "nobody" without a channel.
It's the only way I can rationalize something this stupid.
I don't really follow the Twitch stuff or Marvel Rivals, so when you see the full team list unveil please drop your knowledge on who the bitches are.
Uh Oh Melty
rules snip
That would require them to have friends besides just other clout chasing "content creators"maybe the other competitors should have tried instead of just whining about it.
Even those are only "friends".other clout chasing "content creators"
If Holo dies my no name oshi/corpo might go from 10ccv to 11 ccv so it's worth it, also all of the ebil Holobronies will immidiately keel over and die and finally rid the community of their existence! They will definitely not just migrate to other corpos and infest them too! Definitely not! We all know that when people online get proven wrong they just disappear from this mortal plane! This would be a dreadful idea even if Hololive was secretly a Nijisanji-level disaster waiting to happen. We don't 'need information' right now. What would we do with it even if we had it? Nothing, lol. Even when Selen was terminated, it was mostly Nijisanji who turned it into an apocalyptic reputational trashfire. If they'd stayed tight-lipped, Elira hadn't done that ridiculous black screen stream, and Riku hadn't groveled before the investors while conspicuously refusing to apologize to the woman he nearly killed twice, then it would likely have mostly blown over. It was a perfect storm of mismanagement and egotistical fumbling.
At the moment, Hololive has a massive reputational advantage over everyone else. KSON could come forward and say she was felt up daily by Yagoo and show the scars her manager inflicted during daily flogging sessions, and people would still mostly side with Hololive. There would be some outrage, but unless Fubuki did a blackscreen stream or something equally retarded, it would be flavor-of-the-month drama at most, and do worse to her reputation than Hololive's.
I personally think that Hololive has more skeletons in its closet. I think it might be emulating Nijisanji in more ways than people would like to believe. I think that going public is a cancer that will slowly but surely eat it away from the inside out. But that's just what I think. Until objective, verifiable evidence of that comes to light, nobody is going to do more than entertain these ideas as more than blackpilled rrats. And even if I was absolutely, 100% right in every way, what exactly would anyone here do with that information? Every single person on TVA could boycott all Hololive talents tomorrow, indefiniately, and the revenue loss for them would be mistaken for a rounding error. They aren't too big to fail, but they certainly aren't going to fail from anything less than a virtual 9/11.
Shush, the shareholders are evil and a good scapegoat to pretend that Cover cannot possibly make fuckups, my rose-tinted glasses recollection of 2020 says that Holo used to be GREAT and therefore something nefarious must've happened afterwards, definitely not people becoming jaded and cynical after seeing how bad the industry can get. I bet if they went private tomorrow all of the problems would just vanish magically.Cover didn't "go public" in the sense of all their shares being freely tradeable/traded, majority control is still retained by Yagoo so outside groups who bought in as an investment can cope and sneed at shareholder meetings but lack any real power to direct operations. What you're talking about are situations where no one has a majority and institutional shareholders like investment funds and pensions each have ~15-20% and a bunch of shares are in the hands of individual investors who aren't paying attention, so a couple of the big shareholders ganging up can dictate policy.
If you're not abusing loopholes in the rules to get a competitive advantage over everyone else and forcing said rules to be rewritten next year, do you even care about the competition or winning? She got rulebooked twice by other teams because her team was super stacked. The rulebook states that a team is only allowed 2 "current pro players" and she had 3 Marvel Rivals pros. The rulebook doesn't care about Marvel Rivals pro status since the game is so new and only counts "current pro" status as being an Overwatch pro in the past year.
Another team tried to rulebook her by saying Hogz should be counted as a pro since he was the coach of an Overwatch pro team in the past year, which she allowed. They were upset that she was allowed to keep all 3 players despite this because Supergomez isn't counted as a "current" Overwatch pro. Supergomez was on the Team Colombia team for the Overwatch World Cup but that was in 2023, so that exceeds the 1 year limit. Meanwhile she also recruited Sabooboo, who fulfilled their "maximum S0 Marvel Rivals plat rank" status but was a pro Valorant player in the past year. Sabooboo and another one of the plat players on her team were told to stop at plat rank for S0 so they can maintain that slot.
Doki assembled the fucking Avengers roster and other teams are pissed because she abused loopholes. Even worse is that if you win every match 1 day and get first place, each player on your team gets $5k. Meanwhile the recent official Marvel Rivals tournament, 1st place was less than $1k for each player and it was like a month long tournament. So the Marvel Rivals pros on her team are going to fucking molest the teams that were "oh, I'll invite other content creators onto my team!" that are all silver-plat rank at best. There's a few other stacked teams in the tournament, so she's hoping for at least 4th, but her rulelawyering pissed off some other streamers in the tournament. She didn't solely pick the pros because she wanted a stacked team but because she has been queueing with them in competitive and they helped her get top 500, so they were her first picks.
Nothing will beat Selen getting addicted to Pokemon Unite while fucked up on painkillers due to wisdom teeth surgery and then joining Twitch Rivals with the #1 pro team at that time (LG) and winning. There is also the fact doki shits the bed in tournaments and going this hard on getting a curbstomping team isn't gonna help her allegations of always getting carried.
Suisei has been announced to have an insert song for the upcoming Gundam anime, GQuuuuuuX.
You can just say "I hate it, it reminds me of Witch of Mercury" instead of going into long diatribes like that, Seamus. The one where every mech looks like someone beat Hajime Katoki viciously with a baseball bat until he fell into a delirious stupor and then forced him to watch Estonian-dubbed Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann on VHS backwards for three weeks straight, before throwing him in a dungeon with a bunch of crayons and the news that he'd only win his freedom after successfully producing a Dadaist rendition of the resulting hallucinatory nightmares?
Yeah, passing on that one.
That's an oddly specific objection.
