I think they have been through enough of the same situation and has been able to show their handling it well. Their strategy has always been "admit fault and blame themselves" and it has been working for them. Don't see why would they randomly deviate from it.
Just look at the similar things:

3. Not paying artists commission - actually already did with the JFTC thing, but other than revisions they honor their deals in the first place.

I understand your disappointment for Japanese corpo because they are largely shit but Cover corp is one with a much better track record than anyone else at handling "situations". It should be fine as long as Yagoo is at the helm.
