Heard some rumors about Loki's current member stream. Anyone able to confirm?

If true, then Loki has successfully convinced Sakana to free up IRL content. As a result Sakana is allowing it Phase-wide. Some members will do it and some won't.

The remaining restrictions are: middle face must be censored (hair and ears are fine) and no nips/panty shots. Rest is fair game for those that want to become 2.5D

Loki fought with Sakana because she doesn't mind showing her real face, but Sakana stayed strong with that restriction, insisting they're still a vtuber company.

Her IRL content will include but not be limited to workout videos, vlogs, travel, hair styling etc. She is also planning more sensitive stuff for members-only, likely to include lewd oppai cosplay.

It depends on whether you think vshojo is the hololive of america. Both vhoejo and isegye dominate the market, and appeal to tje people in their respective nation rather than going after the japanese/weebs audiences.

Japan's copyright problem is just a worse version of that, since not only can publishers inconvenience people who're too critical of their products like they do with journos over here, but they have the means to strike down unwanted coverage and severely cripple the businesses of those doing it.

Tbh it's not about the location. It's about being a dick or not. American companies should be able to copyright strikes streams too and youtube/twitch will obey. Then the creator will have to sue the game company to dismiss it. That will be fun, going against a multi billion company. Even if by some miracles they win. The company can just copyright strike using the bgm.

It's a bit of a chicken-and-egg situation as to how much of Japan's situation is the law influencing the culture vs. the culture influencing the (application of) the law, but it's much easier to get away with copyright takedowns in Japan, optics-wise.

Most companies wouldn't dare strike down English-speaking YouTubers these days because it'd be PR suicide and even the most anal-retentive of companies just turn a blind eye - Nintendo usually only take down English videos if they're really flying close to the sun by explicitly teaching you how to pirate their games or something along those lines, and even after posting their autistic streaming rules for Persona 5, Atlus only actually sent a few takedown requests for violations in the first month or so of it being out then just gave up actually enforcing them.

In Japan, though, it's more expected that you'll put your head down and follow the rules, and those rules don't have any fair dealings exceptions so culturally, Japanese YouTubers (and by extension, Japanese corporations) are less likely to generate as much fan support if they get in trouble; the common attitude is that they should've known better.
