How seamless was the transition from a vtuber's PL to Phase Invader in previous cases? Or rather, did previous Invaders announce a hiatus from streaming before revealing that they were joining Phase Connect or did vtubers like Lumi and Yuri stream normally up until they announced that they got poached?

I mostly ask because I don't know if Sakana has them in the basement or if they're actually streaming right now under their PL(?) accounts.
Lumi and Yuri graduated from Cyberlive around end of March 2022, got officially announced as invaders and redebuted few weeks later, so they weren't in basement. Ember "graduated" Kallin in December 2022 and was in process of rebranding. I saw at least one tweet of her going live before she invaded.

If they are joining with their IP they probably are streaming as usual unless they want to take a break before redebut. If they don't, I guess it depends on the plan. Maybe they are already on hiatus, or will announce it when time comes.
E: Even though Euphoria was in basement, some members went on hiatus way later. I remember Purin came back after hers for some time due to their debuts getting delayed.

I am quite concerned given what happened in the last few days.

Edit: Nevermind I just remembered her anniversary is in November

Probably related to this I wonder?

She's been counting down to an announcement all month, for those unaware and predates the situation with Ina. Should be the 20th in Japan.

Newest Phase manager has survived "The Kaminari Clara experience"

I assume this is the new manager that also survived Lumi, Pippa, Tenma, and Dizzy's hazing.

Can't clip at the moment, so timestamp below:

:whatastory:

As for new invaders wave, i hope Sakana isn't gonna keep them in the basement into the next year, genuinely curious regarding who the picks end up being, those will be the first Phase debuts i ever catch live.
Unfortunately, if I remember correctly, I think Lumi said she doesn't think we'll see them by the end of this year.

I have to question what some people here think a talent agency does.

They do not influence the content or the topics of the streamer or anything. As a viewer the most you'll actually see of the agency is the business email.
The agent represents the talent in contract negotiations and is the first point of contact for potential sponsors, at which point they will negotiate the best rate before presenting the sponsorship or contract to the talent who will ultimately still decide whether to take it or not.

Producers will approach the agent, not the actor, for auditions. Teams will approach the agent, not the player, for signing them. A bullshit marketing summit will approach the agent, not the speaker, for speaking engagements. An organizer will approach the agent, not the singer/band, for festival appearances. That's all it is.

Ryan Reynolds does not have to do a show with Serena Williams, Hillary Clinton and Hideo Kojima just because they're all part of the same agency.
Depends on contract terms. Traditionally, agencies have some measure of power over what their talents can do. Often including absolute control over signing/declining gigs. Or censoring talents for PR purposes. Though terms tend to be much more permissive recently which resulted in actresses insulting target audience (hello disney).

We have never had a traditional Western talent agencies in the vtubing industry before. No, mythic doesn't count.
Hollywood or whoever WME is clearly going to establish a Hololive. Hololive calls themself an talent agency too!! They must have been the same thing!!! Matara going to be the first, they gonna sign Doki and Mint the next few days and make them dance together!!!!
Just like this Uniteds Talent agency, they just announced a UnitedFes next year featuring so many vtubers like pokimane, sykkuno, kkatamina. They have done so much for the vtubing industry since they signed Shxtou and Bao 3 years ago!!!!!

Looks like UTA tried to jump on the trendy train while they have absolutely no idea where and how to market streamers. Textbook "diversify your business" shit. Some VA gigs and endorsement deals, sure, but top streamers can get these much easier personally.
Possibility of Vtubers commenting wrestling makes at least some sense to me.
No. It just means that uta, mythic, wme are just representatives of the talents and not an actual idol agency, they only there to negotiate sponsor deals and sort emails.

The amusing thing is, is that Hollywood thinks that vtubing might be in their wheelhouse. It's not. I'm looking forward to Hollywood wasting millions of dollars finding this out. Fuck Hollywood.
One of the reasons why vtubing popped off in the west is because people were tired of western media and Hollywood's bullshit.

Are you retarded? (rhetorical question)

You do not transparently see the impact of an agent. Most of all the agent will reduce your workload while maximising your take from any sponsorships or marketing opportunities that reach you through the agent. An agent can not get you deals from buyers who do not want to work with you and can not get you more deals than you can take on. The best thing an agent can and will do is get you consistent deals while getting you more money for the same workload.

They're also probably helping with getting interviews with legacy media:

Dude, don't explain job definition as if i don't know that.
I meant old offline agency signing a bunch of streamers out of the blue. Good if they have specialists who actually know streaming market. But they also have this shit on their site https://www.unitedtalent.com/talent/web3 which is pretty strong hint that they might have no fucking clue about streaming in general and vtubers in particular.
Aslo - i don't remember Bao getting any deals that could've come from them actively marketing her.

They're also probably helping with getting interviews with legacy media:
This i can believe, but then again, it's Ironmouse.
Razer deal - meh, could be either, no opinion here.

What is "out of the blue"? Since when was UTA an offline agency?

VTubers were not the first streamers to sign with UTA, streamers were not the first content creators to sign with UTA. UTA has consistently been signing Youtubers and other influencers for more than 10 years. Same goes for WME.
