Shouldn't you be mad at Warren Ellis since he created and wrote the show (and used the same basic handful of character personalities that he's used in everything since the 90s)?

That was Season 3 and while he has written worse he was pushed off the show by then no real proof but i suspect nothing involving Alucard & the twins is his work meaning they either scrapped his script entirely or it was never finished leading to why only half of season 3 was any good.

You're conflating criminal cases (government versus citizen) and civil cases (citizen versus citizen). The absurd conviction rate only applies to the former, but the lawsuit is a case of the latter.
