Man. He had so much going for him and he fucked it up.

Just to add a bit to this, Uruka and Lia were just chatting about recording for Anime NYC concert. Uruka spent approximately eleven hours in the SPWN studio on one day recording her dance moves for her 3D performance, and they had multiple staff members helping with recording as well as providing assistance to Uruka during this time. You spread this out over three or four other girls (not sure who is paying for Mint), add the time and staff for recording music, you start to see why SPWN needs to charge what it does for its concert tickets.

It would be interesting to see how this works. I assume its just a flat fee they pay upfront and then they try to make back the money with ticket sales. I think Phase is big enough that they can atleast get 5-10k tickets sold. As for Fishman. I think he is just looking to try to break even (I dont think he will) but his main focus by doing this is to give Phase more legitimacy especially in the the eyes of JP. I know that JP watchers will be almost none but he can flaunt the fact that as an agency he had an official concert hosted and streamed in SPWN which is probably the biggest company when it comes to these type of events.

This also opens up the doors to have Phase talents included in future cross-company JP concerts (like the one about 4 years ago they recorded in the Fuji TV Building in Odaiba back in 2020 i believe). Sakana has wanted to go for the idol thing for a long time and in a way he seems to have finally made it(honestly at this point its just him looking for a way he can get Marine to collabe with Phase). Hell his Gen 2 was basically hired in part for that reason. Shina is a singer and was one auditioning to become a Kpop idol. Same shit with Airi. Clara is also ex-idol.

Gura has been talking quite a bit about her music in this member's stream. She confirmed that she really doesn't think she sounds good in produced music, and also doesn't like what producers do to her voice in released songs. She prefers how her voice sounds with just a mic - in karaokes for instance. Sounds like there are a couple of projects in the works, but she didn't sound particularly enthusiastic about any of them (besides the thing that's been in the works for 2 years, which she says is really important to her). I get the strong impression that she has no interest in new original music or solo covers going forward - she sounded kinda discouraged about the whole thing. She also said that Full Color might show up from time to time in lives, but not to expect anything more from it.

She also mentioned that instead of doing a promotional stream for the EDF game like IRyS and Kiara did, the devs let her make a "shitpost". She said it's the first time she's edited her own video in forever (since the Senzawa days probably, although she obviously didn't say that). She didn't say anything more specific about it, so I don't know if it's something in the game, or a promo thing that they haven't released yet.

She also clarified that she's "home" now, and looking forward to playing some games again. No mention of travel coming up, which with the concert in a week makes me think that she won't be there. I know that several of the talents (even those not participating in the world tour - Calli and Suisei for instance) are going to be in NYC, presumably for live MC segments and whatnot. Might be that not all of the girls are doing those, or some combination of live and pre-recorded MCs (please no more Connect the World awkwardness, Cover).

I somewhat agree with Gura. My favorite songs of hers come from that one stream she sang with the ukulele. Her songs with Calli, her collabs with Marine and her original are all great but I think she shines more "unplugged".

Here is a clip of Danchou talking about her goals for her 6th anniversary. She mentions that one of her general goals is to do a sololive one day. I sincerely hope that she’s able to do it one day, I’m plenty of Kishidan (Danchou’s fans) will be crying tears of joy seeing it live…myself included.

Noel has improved somewhat when it comes to her singing but she's still a bit tone deaf. I would love to see her have a concert though because she is cute enough that even if she sucks at the singing part, she can sell it just on the cuteness factor.

Are there any other gen songs? I know that Kanata rushed one for her gen before Coco left but other than none really come to mind. Guess I have to praise Nijisanji when it comes to making memorable gen songs.

Okay so it's like any other venue just... a ship? That's fine then, good for catching people's attention I guess, though these small ass groups trying to trip over each other to make concerts is kinda silly to me. You don't NEED to do concerts to be a good agency, my recommendation would be to actually build up an audience first which would then lead to events, Holo has certainly shown that concerts are more of a waste of money than anything and only really serve as fanservice (they burn a ton of money on fes which is only offset by ridiculous prices on everything and merch).

They should do like Nyana and fund/host them in their own channels instead of going all out and trying to fund full 3D concerts recorded professionally in a studio. No wonder these companies constantly fail. Who the fuck would want to watch a 3d concert when its some obscure shitty corpo no one knows?

Depends on if he saw the important noombers go up after OffKai, and if he considers the tradeoff to be good enough.

For all intents and purposes OffKai 2024 was a huge success. I believe 2025 they will be moving to a new venue because they dont fit in their current place. As for Phase. I feel that based on what Pippa said after the convention, they will go again despite the fuckups and headaches. They did seem extremely frustrated with what happened but maybe Fishman will be able to jew out some sort of deal for next time ("since you fucked us up last time") type of deal.

Just adding my own notes since I was already writing them down, but yea /vt/ got the part about her mental accurate:

• She was nervous to the point of tearing up but she's basically pretended it's her debut stream since today's her 6th anniversary. Prepared debut slides and everything. Even shilled her 6th anniversary merch as debut merch, saying the staff made a mistake.
• Started off with why she went on break, restated that it was for her mental. She spent most of her life on the internet, to the point that she was wondering what was she even living for.
• She never thought of streaming as work since she was just doing what she loved, but streaming stopped being fun and became work, which was painful for her. Looking at social media was also scary, to the point that she wanted to run away from all of it. So that's when she decided to go on her hiatus. (Nothing new here since she said most of this when she announced her break)
• Spent a lot of time watching anime in her futon but she talked with her manager and felt motivated again. After that, was doing work stuff like sponsorships and getting ready for her birthday in December (So thankfully, no graduation for a while).
• Again, she didn't look at any social media during her break so she was very surprised by everyone's kindness when she made her return tweets. Looking at all of it made her smile and cry. It reaffirmed that she was glad to be alive. She was also laughing at all the twitter bots that have appeared.

After that, she went over her "debut" slides and talked about herself:

• One Punch Man is her one of her all-time favorites. One of her current goals is to become Saitama. Watched Kaiji recently and talked to Okayu about it.
• Also been watching the Harry Potter movies and loving them. Chat made fun of her for only watching them recently despite being a witch.
• Hasn't been playing games recently other than some Dragon Quest (didn't hear which game)
• Bad with guro, horror and jumpscares. The blood especially gets to her. Can handle it in manga cause of the black and white, but the red color in anime and movies is what messes with her. It can get to a point where she starts hyperventilating and might even need to go to the hospital. Basically a full panic attack
• Gave her impressions of some Holomembers:
• Cool: Suisei, Towa, Calli (Wants to be Calli's younger sister?).
• Cute: Gura, FuwaMoco, Chloe
• Funny: Korone, Pekora, Aqua, Marine
• Kind: Everyone in Holo
• Intelligent: Herself.
• Her favorite: Okayu. Okayu's been treating her as a little sister recently and she feels like it's some kinda hypnosis cause she's starting to believe it.
• Kinda happy but mixed feelings on how gross Chloe can be with her. (If you don't remember, Shion is Chloe's oshi and the orca goes full otaku mode around her).
• Was looking at her official profile on the Hololive site when preparing the debut slides and got nostalgic for the old days. Was wondering who was that girl from 6 years ago
• Can't talk about everything she did during her break in only an hour so she'll be doing another chatting stream. She did say she went to eat with Okayu a ton, talked often with the other Holos and I think she went to Disney too.
• She shilled her merch again and announced her new outfit too.

Gotta say, it was good to hear her laugh again
