So Mint has an appearance at this Truck event a few days back. Seems simple enough - show up for a set and sing some songs. And you'd expect to have to do a little more than just show up - maybe go over a set list with them, do a tech/audio check beforehand, stuff like that, right? But they actually asked her to pre-record a "backup" version of the entire set up front in case there were tech problems (!?!!?)

Luckily for members she agreed to post the entire thing so we have it available, but you've got to wonder how often talents are being asked for this sort of shit, and how much of it is getting consigned to the ether unseen afterwards.....

Having a fallback plan is always a smart option in live events should shit hit the fan somehow. I've never been involved in anything vtuber related like this (yet) but it wouldn't surprise me if the big corpos have a few dozen or so unseen recordings they didn't need to air for when a live went to shit.
